We were lucky to catch up with Lee Crawford recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Lee, thanks for joining us today. Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
Growing up I thought my purpose was to be successful have a family and take care of the ones I love. Until those reasons weren’t available to me anymore. Then I sought motivation from people places and things I’ve experienced through a lot of good memories. I believe those memories just kept me grateful enough just to be and learn myself because I had no clue why I was here for a very long time. It’s hard to stay motivated with no purpose. I believe through the opportunities that was given to me kind of made me feel blesses yet, undeserving but it gave me an opportunity to pass some blessings on to others. I believe my purpose now is just to be a conduit of blessings for those who deserve it
My story was a bit different after losing my parents at an early age which rendered me homeless I had to make a serious effort in changing the paths I was heading in. I took my education talent and skills and apply them to my real life circumstances. Being that I had no choice but to survive alone I became dependent on myself to make wise decisions for the best outcomes.
At 17 I invented an exercise machine and I became a mechanical engineer out of high school.
I attended Wilberforce University an all black College in Ohio where I studied for a dual engineering degree. I joined the United States Navy where I trained for information systems technician and Quartermaster. I was married and divorced. I also became a youth minister and fought against violent crimes in my community. I never had children so that gave me the opportunity to move around until I got comfortable where I wanted to be and I ended up in Miami Beach.
I never had a desire to be accepted or join crowds. I came to Miami to live… or die. The relationships, opportunities, and lifestyle were a byproduct of working on myself. No one could FATHOM the levels of Dark energy against the Hero in the Heros Journey.
I feel im getting at that age where i just desire to use my education talent and skills to help young black men not make the mistakes that I have vicariously through me.

Lee, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
