We recently connected with Ledarius Phelix and have shared our conversation below.
LeDarius, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
I’ve always been a people person so to speak at least every single person I’ve ever met has told me that. Through my years on the planet I’ve noticed how big of an impression or impact I leave on people. It’s a good positive feeling because now even if I haven’t talk to theirs people they are always in my corner cheering me on. I’ve come to realize that seeing people smile and making people happy makes me happy so I decide to follow a career that would allow me to continue that feeling of helping people
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a barber and I provide all services from hair cuts and styles for men , women, and children. I provide color dyes, facials, shampoo and conditioner services and more when it comes to haircuts . I love to draw so when it comes to my tattoo I like to put my personal touch and make any drawing perfect for my customers. I’m kind of nonchalant at times. I love laughing tho and making others laugh most would say I’m the easiest person to get along with but at the same time I’m very protective of my people and myself. I try to be the person you can lean on and come to when you need to talk bc listening to people isn’t easy and sometimes a I know people just want to vent so being there to listen is comforting to me
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I was working a simple 9-5 and really I was working my self to bone . Never any time for family always tired and always on the clock. It was time for a change and I had to make it happen for not just me but my son .
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Taking photos and constantly posting is the best advice I can give . Even if it’s old work post, post, post!! You have to promote yourself every single day in order to be great in this world . Everybody might like what you post and that’s alright . As long as you doing what you feel is right and will help you keep doing it even if it’s slow at first because eventually it will blow up
