We caught up with the brilliant and insightful LeAudrey Arnold a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
LeAudrey , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Hi, my name is LeAudrey Arnold and I am the owner Selah beauty Salon
The mission of Selah beauty it’s to create beauty and healing all at once, this means everything to me. Because at one time I was so broken that I made bad choices and decisions that really led me to a very dark end and Selah which means pause and reflect, it has helped me to understand there’s other women that I can
help and I also have a book out
that’s called I’m whispering as
loud as I can. So my biggest
mission for myself, is to make
sure no woman is left behind in
her brokenness and never alone on her healing journey

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m LeAudrey the heart and hands behind Selah Beauty, a salon built on the belief that
beauty is more than skin-deep—it’s a reflection of confidence, healing, and self-love. What sets me apart is the way I connect with every person who walks through my door. To me, it’s not just about creating a flawless style; it’s about listening, uplifting, and helping my clients see the beauty that’s already
within them.
I’m proud that Selah Beauty has become a safe space where women can pause, breathe, and leave feeling renewed. I exclusively use Ashtae products because they align with my values—high-quality, versatile, and designed to meet the needs of every texture and style, while
keeping hair healthy and vibrant.
My mission is simple: to make every client feel seen, valued, and empowered, and to remind them that beauty isn’t just what you wear—it’s who you are.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
There was a time in my life when everything felt shattered — my confidence, my sense of worth, even my belief that I could ever rise again. I had survived childhood trauma, abusive relationships, addiction, and even prison. Life had every reason to count me out.
But somewhere deep inside, there was still a whisper: “Get up. Keep going. Your story isn’t over.”
In 1988, walking into beauty
school was my first step toward believing that whisper. I was a
young mother with little support, balancing school, work, and raising my daughters. It was hard
— harder than I can put into
words — but every head of hair I
touched reminded me that
transformation is possible. Not
just for my clients, but for me,
too.
Today, Selah Beauty is more than a salon. It’s a sanctuary — a space where beauty meets healing, where every style and every conversation carries a piece of my journey. When someone sits in my chair, they’re not just getting their hair done; they’re stepping into a space built on faith, resilience, and the belief that broken pieces can create something extraordinary.
Because resilience isn’t about never falling. It’s about choosing to rise, again and again, stronger, wiser, and with more purpose. Selah Beauty is living proof of that — my testimony that life after brokenness isn’t just possible…it can be beautiful

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
“Through faith in Yahuwah and the guidance of my spirit, I have learned that my worth is inherent and not defined by the opinions or expectations of others. Every trial, every hardship, and every mistake I have faced has been a lesson—a forge that has strengthened my resilience, shaped my character, and
clarified my purpose. My past does not dictate my future; my struggles do not break me—they teach me, refine me, and prepare me to walk boldly in the life I am meant to live. I embrace each challenge as an opportunity to grow, to rise stronger, and to transform my story into a guide for others, showing that faith,
self-awareness, and perseverance can turn pain into power and hardship
