Hi Leanne, thanks for joining us today. So, let’s imagine that you were advising someone who wanted to start something similar to you and they asked you what you would do differently in the startup-process knowing what you know now. How would you respond?
If I were starting over today, I’d focus on simplicity and strategy. I’d niche down sooner, invest in branding early (cards, flyers, social media/booking site etc.), and build strong client relationships from day one because they chose me as their artist and making my guests feel beautiful and honored is so important to me. Most importantly, I’d trust the process and remember that passion backed by consistency always pays off.

Hi, I’m Leanne, a passionate esthetician dedicated to helping others feel beautiful and confident. From passion to purpose—that’s the journey that led me to the beauty industry. I started with a deep love for learning about trending beauty and self-care treatments.
Being in the industry for over 14 years, I started off as a hairstylist straight out of high school who specialized in color. After 8 years, I made the decision to pivot into esthetics to specialize in skin care and lash extensions.
I was a young mother who grew up and lived on the south side of San Antonio who has a strong family support system which till this day has allowed me to create a business that I truly love showing up to and help to balance my mom and work life. I love connecting with others and seeing their faces glow after a service or session dedicated to only them.
I’ve learned that having relentless belief in my mission to take care and give confidence to a guest will naturally align my passion with my purpose.
As a solo esthetician, I specialize in personalized treatments such as custom Lash Extensions, Brow Laminating and Tinting , and lastly Oil Dermaplane Facials all performed in a cozy, vibey, authentic environment.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Referrals, social media, and word of mouth have been key to growing my clientele. Happy clients bring in like-minded guests, social media showcases my work, and offering various services keeps my clients coming back—and sharing their experiences with others.

I keep in touch with my clients through follow-ups, social media, special offers, referral and loyalty programs. I make an effort to remember their preferences and create a personal experience every time they visit. It’s really about building real relationships and making sure they always feel valued.
