We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Leah Logue. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Leah below.
Leah, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
Social media is a huge component to the success of my career. It’s my only avenue of marketing, and in interior design, it’s the ideal platform to showcase my work, style, and personality. I graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in marketing, which I had intended to use to promote and advertise other businesses, but ultimately transitioned into marketing myself. I solely manage my social media as it is both my personal and business account, and I’m extremely selective in the content I post @lifeinlogue

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a second-generation South Floridian, born and raised in Palm Beach County, which inspired my “Pop of Coastal” design aesthetic, merging modern decor with coastal accents. I love to combine obvious and intentional decor with subtle and thoughtful details that are often overlooked, but when you notice them, you can really appreciate the space altogether. I like to invoke the initial ‘wow’ moment when you enter a room, but also the ‘aha’ moments as the little details reveal themselves as part of the big picture. I also really enjoy a theme and will embrace it in unexpected ways to build a playful or whimsical space, often around an accent pillow, wallpaper or accessory that I’m inspired by.
Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
I regret not embracing social media earlier. I tried to avoid it as long as possible until I realized the huge potential it offered for exposure and growth. It’s a free form of advertising, and you have full control of your content and brand image.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Referrals are not only the best source of new clients, but more importantly the best compliment. After working so closely for months (or years) with my clients in their homes, they become like family to me, and I feel extremely fortunate to get to work with incredible people. A perfect example- after completing a project last summer, I went to hand my key back to my client and he stopped me and said “no you keep it, you’re family now” (insert teary-eyed emoji). They have since referred me to two other families, who have also been absolutely wonderful to work with.
