We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Leah Cade. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Leah below.
Alright, Leah thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?
I had been sharing lots of projects in my stories over Covid when I decided to launch my own business. I had polled some friends to see if they would be excited if I launched a virtual design class and they said, ‘actually will you just come makeover my home?” And so it began….just like that. Social Media and through referrals is my entire business now.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I come from a sales background, putting in 15 years of experience with Mary Kay cosmetics…pink Cadillac at all! During covid, I realized my gifts for fashion and design and launched my own business, CadeCo, ‘stylish and a little DIY-ish’. I assist in home staging and design and help family or individuals to make their home or office space beautiful. I also help style clients for events, vacations, photoshoots, etc. I cover all elements to give people what they want…..confidence in their own space and confidence in how they dress. I am most proud of my grit and ability to handle a lot of DIY projects myself. Also, I am extremely budget friendly and highly personable, which my clients tell me is what they love most.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Show up imperfect. Its the best advice I was ever given. I think people respect a real, authentic business owner and can relate to you in this way.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Many, MANY times you will HAVE TO pivot when owning a business. One key component to my success that I have learned over the years is that I try not to respond or react immediately. Fight, flight or freeze is a real thing and taking time before you respond can and will lead to probably 1 or 2 things: the problem will work itself out on its own and/or you will be calmer with a clear head to come up with a solution in that time.
