Hi Leah, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
Every year I host a student appreciation dinner at the dance studio, where I treat, long-standing or very committed students to an evening of yummy food and feeling spoiled! It truly cannot capture the gratitude I have towards all of them, but it is a gesture of love and thanks for sure. I hope it makes all of my students feel treasured and celebrated.
Leah, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I have dedicated my whole life to dancing in the performing arts, so it was inevitable that I would eventually open my own dance studio. I absolutely love teaching adults dance and giving them an opportunity to celebrate themselves through movement and connection on the dance floor
I am most proud of the authenticity behind the studio, there are no alterior motives, and the purpose of the studio is certainly not driven by money, but by passion to reach people through dance.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I have chosen an authentic path and social media promotion. That means my goal is not to gain an outrageous number of followers who I will never meet. Rather, I am trying to reach the people that will actually walk into the studio and connect with me. I am not afraid to post a video clip of a class that is not extremely well attended for whatever reason, because I am celebrating whoever is in the studio. At the same time, I’m also happy to celebrate and share videos of a large class or well attended event. It is all worth celebrating!
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Like many people will say, the best source of getting new clientele is word-of-mouth. It is so much more believable for a new person to believe a friend instead of believing someone they’ve never met.
