We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lazandria Wilson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Lazandria thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I would say the mission behind my social media platforms and writing my book is to not just inspire others but let little me know that all things are possible through Christ.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
To make a long story short, I have been doing social media since August of 2019 and doing content creation has definitely opened some doors for me, also making me realize some things and growing from past experiences. Social media has been used as an outlet for me to express myself and to show the world the gift God has given me and to build his kingdom. I mainly want people to know that I’m not perfect and I’m human and I am constantly growing. I would also like people to know that everyone makes mistakes and we should allow people to grow from those mistakes.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I would say I have always been someone who has been true and authentic to my growth on social media. What I mean by this is that I’ve never payed any big creator to promote me or anything. Have I bought a couple of ads once in a blue moon, yes I have. All of my growth has been through hashtags and being myself. Just being authentic with my audience and keeping it real. Now my Instagram page hasn’t been growing (it’s been 3years) but I still continue to do what I know best. Whoever finds my content will find my content and that’s the advice I can give to others. Just post what you want and someone will latch to it.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I can say the best source is social media. I will say another outlet is just talking to people and letting them know your journey. Just get out there and talk.
