LaVetta , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

I have had a love for traveling since I can remember, it definitely takes my mind away from everyday things and gives me a sense of what’s going on in other parts of the world.. I am definitely a people person, I love to meet new people from other cultures and see different things that I have not yet experienced. I have traveled for years and have always wanted others to experience the joy of traveling. I felt as if a lot of people don’t travel because they think it’s too expensive. They don’t really understand how reasonable traveling can be made to fit within your budget. Time is definitely a factor that will help, planning ahead leaves plenty of room for payments and an iteniary for activities can make travel arrangements worry free. I definitely try my best to meet all of your travel expectations and stay within your budget… I have solved a problem for some of my clients who thought that traveling was impossible because of finances… They now know that it is within there means to travel with there friends and family as long as it is well planned ahead of time… The idea of people seeing things and going places that they have never seen or done before gives me the absolute most gratification…

My name is LaVetta Bruce, I am the owner of Travel With Me LLB… I am a certified travel advisor I specialize in family, group, and liesure travel, both domestic and internationally. I started this business because of my love for adventure and traveling. I always planned trips/vacations for friends and family and decided to move forward with starting my business. I offer several services for your travel needs some include: quotes, package deals, all inclusive (family or adult only resorts), flights, hotel accommodations, vacation home rentals, vehicle rentals. A few other services include (group or individual) iteniary planning, payment layouts, reservations, and finding your perfect vacation home. I am most proud of myself for not giving up, entrepreneurship can be a tough road to follow, but consistency is the key to success… Showing people that vacation is obtainable is my main objective. Whether it be a small trip to the next city over for a day or so or a big vacation to another country, vacations are necessary.. To get away from your everyday life and relax with no work, assures you have the ability to regroup and realign yourself before exhaustion is good for your health.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

A lesson I had to unlearn would be, thinking or assuming because I have a travel business my family and friends will all support me… I had to realize that some of my biggest supporters have been people that I haven’t even known long or whom I have never met until I started my business. They have seen me on social media or heard about me through other people and decided to move forward with starting a travel quote or getting some travel needs met… I am very appreciative of my supporters…

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

There are many challenges that have occurred throughout starting this business. As a travel business owner I know all about the inconsistencies of this line of work… Some months will be better then others when more people are traveling and some will be a struggle to find the clients who will be consistent or who will be able to travel throughout the year. I will continue to be consistent and make an effort to keep moving forward and growing my business….
