We were lucky to catch up with Laverne/Elevate With Verne Mcinnis recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Laverne/Elevate With Verne thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

I believe to be successful it takes a variety of qualities, Such as Prayer, Mindset, Hard Work, Confidence, Passion, Determination, Being intentional, Goals, Believing in you, Not comparing yourself to others, being open and not afraid to fail, Will power, Motivation and lastly Strength.

Laverne/Elevate With Verne, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I have always enjoyed social media as a viewer however in 2014 I decided to search for my birth family. I was adopted at Birth due to my mom passing away during delivery. I never knew I was adopted until I was 21 yrs old nor did I have a clue. My adopted family gave me very little information about my birth family. I decided to make a video on Facebook & then I started a youtube channel in 2015 in hopes of someone would see my face and recognize me. I did a dna via Ancestry thanks to my daughter in the military.

Then as I started to become more known on YouTube I turned my knowledge of Human Resources and offering information, reading YouTube guidelines for other creators into assisting creators to become monetized.

Along with selling Affirmational T-Shirts, I am a Keynote Speaker, a Social Media Advisor, a Mindset Renewal Advisor. I am most proud of being monetized on several social media platforms and being known as the YouTube Cheerleader.

I want potential clients to know I take social media seriously and let them know they can use it a stream of income. I really push them to see that social media can be used for good purposes. Social media is difficult but you can have fun with it, meet great people from all over the world & some can turn into great friendships.

Have you ever had to pivot?

This is a great question in fact in June of 2022 I had to pivot in my business where I did a rebrand & I changed my name. The reason was as I started to grow, my focus changed & I had to upgrade & Level up. I started to take on paid clients, doing paid Speaking Engagements and more live interviews.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I built my audience on social media by being transparent, offering help, being supportive to others via shout out videos, I would stop my own live stream to show a creator how to edit a video, upload a video or walk them thru a process.
