Lavell , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I would say around age 10 ,I would play madden and instead of playing the season with a already existing team I would create a whole new team and take the Cleveland browns out and replace them with my team. Not only the team but I created all the players using family and friends names and place them in positions that suited them best

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Majic (My Association Just Involves Creativity or Cash) I’m from Palmdale California ,I started rapping at the age of 7 and started writing at age 11
At that moment I really didn’t have a favorite artist who inspired me to rap it was more so my older cuzzin rapping hisself and I grew interested
My shyness to rap in front of ppl cause me to procrastinate on my career until I started battle rapping in school (Lancaster highschool, phoenix highschool,av highschool) at that moment a Philly rapper by the name of reed dollaz had my attention and all I wrote was battle rap bars which made me more of a street lyricist type rapper
After learning that all the best rappers told stories and hearing the stigma that battle rappers can’t write hit songs I started focusing my hooks and writing complete songs rather than free verses
Around 10th grade I opened up more with rapping in front of ppl which helped develop my confidence.one thing I noticed was all the rappers I ran into sounded like a artists that was famous already basically they’re style was borrowed no one never said I sound like one rapper and I believe that came from me not having a favorite rapper .in the early 2000’s young buck and 50 cent was my favorite rappers ,g unit had my full attention once young buck fell off 50 cent music took over and his business ventures made me idolize him and he crowned him my favorite rapper but not just by lyrics but because how I could relate to his way of thinking when I watch his interviews .
Now 15 living the street life music was in a sense put on the back burner and me and friends never focused enough on our craft to make something of it the streets had our attention
But once I started goin to jail (juvenile hall/camp) county jail and the pen that gave me free time to think and I’m already a heavy thinker and the things that would come to mind was always started a business it went from creating record label names to clothing line designs ,writing down movie concept, events that will help promote my brand and I noticed that no matter what I came up with in the field of entertainment everything can complement each if u form the business right with the right team .it doesn’t just stop with music ,clothes, movies, games, fitness etc all these thing with the right idea u can create a empire all of music
I started studying business books in jail like everyday I’m reading some type of education book from business law ,business entertainment, accounting, magazine about music ,hip hop weekly, after doin a total of 10 years all together in the system I developed a good grasp of the entertainment business
Once I was released in 2018 I created hustle onehundred my brand and started selling T shirts around my area to local friends and family members.
I started recording music performing and doin videos and attending networking events but I still was in to the streets not putting in a full effort for my music then life hit ,I had my first kid ,was in a relationship while tryna catch up on miss times I’m doin a lot and not getting nothing done,I’m over thinking and procrastinating waiting for the perfect time to drop a song ,a shirt ,performing I just was not motivated lazy with it and overthinking everything until i mentally forced myself into a depression unhappy with my life and where I’m at frustrated with why I’m not figuring the business out, giving too many chances and not having the courage to leave them behind or alone because I know they not good for me .
I did all that studying reading books only to realize the best teacher and the way yo learn is hands on in person ,experience ! I slowly started putting myself around the right ppl and started soaking up game and researching it and seeing what I can use to create a brand that becomes a house hood name
My discipline comes from me failing and being disappointed I’m myself for slacking off my career. My son is what got me focused,I feared failing him so much that I started to wake up slowly but surely I started to find my self .it wasn’t until I decided to put myself first and behaving like a leader rather than a participant or follower
Right now I have a clothing store in Palmdale which I’m filling up with inventory now
I did a community give bac at my store just to so appreciation and just do things for the kids .when I was growing up we had free lunch and community center that we can go hang at while our parents coo go to work with no worry because the community leaders at that time created a safe haven away from home for kids to get fed and chill until parents get home and that’s exactly what I want to provide
So I will be using my music platform to create these spaces for kids where they can chill have fun hang out but also get education that the schools don’t teach. I don’t know about anybody else but if I could of learned how to barber at 15 my life probably takes a turn for a more positive experience and then community centers is what I’m planning to put together
The term HUSTLE ONEHUNDRED means maximizing your hustle and getting the most benefits from every situation THERE’s 100 WAYS TO HUSTLE ,PICK 1 ,give it all u got I promise u can make it
I like to look at my music as reality rap the ppl I mainly want to listen to my music is street guys who are in the process of making the transition from street hustling to legal hustling .no matter what u do illegal in the streets I promise I can created and idea to where u can start a legit business doin the same thing ….if u can pimp you can be a modeling agent, look at hugh hephner, the average shirt cost about 45- 80$ but a 8th of weed cost 25-35$ the actions of selling weed is the same process u will need to sell T-shirt’s ..create the product advertise it ,you have to approach ppl the same way convince them to buy let them touch feel the product .the thing is ppl in the hood understand that they just have to be willing to uproot from your current area and friends and put yourself in a place where ppl are buying shirts the same way I promote to sell weed do it with T-shirt’s ,u wouldn’t go to a basketball locker room trying to sell weed because they are athletes they don’t smoke or even care anything about it so why would u just stand on the bloc tryna sell T-shirt to ppl who don’t care to buy it
What sets me apart from other it the endless creative ideas that constantly pop in my head combined with my comprehension of how business works I literally can make a idea on the spot and create and way to promote and market that idea so it will be successful and the ideas are not normal thinker ideas
I’m most proud of me getting my store because females and older ppl and ppl who thought they were better use to talk about me and call me homeless and a low life because I stood in front of a store all day getting my money sometimes wearing the same outfit for 3 days because I don’t wanna leave and miss no money
My brand will show ppl the most creative ways to go get money from the smallest level and that’s just with what I know now I’m a student of the game so every day I’m learning just imagine when i really learn the industry, when it comes to me just think 50 cent & nipsey hussle then u can grasp a idea of the impact I plan on making

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes I would like to run for mayor of my city it’s a small city with a lot of potential and space to be a big city and I would like to be apart of that development vocally and physically

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I realize u can’t do it by yourself…I’m a person who will literally try to take over the world by myself. I’ was afraid of building relationships not understanding the importance of who u know and how further u can get by just taking the relationship a small step passed business
