Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lauryn Williams . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Lauryn , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I know God will fulfill my dreams and goals by making my legacy inspiring to other beautiful small town black girls. My accomplishments will live beyond me. My legacy will be remembered as an authentic come up. I will be remembered as a woman who seek and conquered.

Lauryn , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Lauryn Ayanna Williams but in the model and business industry I go by LAW. I have been solely working hard for 6 years to bring my modeling career to new and major heights. So far I have worked with a couple known photographers such as Sean Coleman at the age of 16. I have been in 3 published magazines and walked runway for the Miss Houston Pageant. I started modeling for small local brands in high school to now working with celebrity hairstylists and make up artists and worldwide online brands. There is definitely more to come, I’m just getting started.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I try to keep in touch with the glam team, photographers and directors that I have worked with by following each other on social media or just sending a professional short email about how I enjoyed my time and that I’m thankful for the experience. Networking and being nice is very important this industry.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Being impatient. I don’t really have a specific back story on why I had to learn how to be patient with myself and my journey, In the modeling industry you will hear a lot of NO’s and negative comments but it’s your responsibility to not let that “NO” or comment eat you alive. Everything and everybody is not meant for you and that’s okay. Don’t let discourage stop you from reaching those new heights. It’s all up to you to say to yourself you did the best you could and now it’s time for you to move on. That’s just life in general.
