Laurie Buob, DC — Head Coach, Personal Trainer & Doctor of Chiropractic
I’ve always been fascinated by how the human body works and how resilient it can be when given the right tools. My journey began with a deep interest in health and movement, which eventually led me to earn my Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Over the years, I’ve worked with people from all walks of life — from athletes aiming to optimize performance to everyday individuals recovering from injuries or simply wanting to feel stronger, move better, and live healthier.
At Alloy Personal Training Cary, I bring that same holistic mindset to the gym floor. Our training programs aren’t just about exercise — they’re about building sustainable strength, mobility, and confidence. I combine my background in chiropractic care with personalized training to help clients move safely and efficiently, prevent injury, and see measurable progress. We use proven systems, small-group training, and an individualized approach so every client feels supported and challenged at the right level for them.
What sets me apart is the ability to bridge the gap between clinical care and fitness. I understand how bodies heal, adapt, and grow stronger — and I make sure every client’s program aligns with their unique needs, goals, and physical history. Whether it’s helping someone bounce back from a setback, finally break through a fitness plateau, or simply rediscover the joy of moving without pain, I’m committed to delivering results that last well beyond the gym.
One of the things I’m most proud of is watching our clients transform — not just physically, but in their confidence, energy, and outlook on life. Seeing someone walk in uncertain and walk out empowered is why I do what I do.
If there’s one thing I’d want potential clients to know, it’s that your goals are achievable, and you don’t have to do it alone. At Alloy, you’ll have the expertise, accountability, and encouragement to succeed — and I’ll be right there with you every step of the way.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
In my experience, the two biggest factors are genuine connection and consistent follow-through. In fitness — and really in any service-based field — people don’t just want expertise, they want to feel seen, heard, and supported. You can have all the credentials in the world, but if you can’t build trust and make someone feel comfortable, they’re not going to stick with the process long enough to see results.
The other piece is consistency — both for clients and for us as professionals. Showing up every day with the same level of energy, care, and commitment creates momentum, and momentum builds results. Our members know they can count on me to keep them accountable, celebrate their wins, and help them navigate challenges — and that steady presence is often what keeps them going when motivation dips.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe my reputation has been built on a foundation of trust, results, and genuine care. From day one, I’ve made it a priority to put people first — not just their fitness goals, but their overall well-being. I take time to understand each client’s unique challenges, whether it’s recovering from an injury, overcoming self-doubt, or learning how to make fitness a sustainable part of their life.
Consistency has also been a huge factor. Whether someone has been training with me for two months or two years, they know they’ll get the same level of attention, professionalism, and encouragement every time they walk through the door. That reliability builds confidence, and confidence builds word-of-mouth.
Finally, I’ve worked hard to be active in the community — showing up at events, collaborating with other health professionals, and sharing resources freely. When people see you as both a knowledgeable coach and a neighbor who genuinely cares, it naturally strengthens your reputation.
