We were lucky to catch up with Lauren Wheat recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Lauren thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I believe that in my industry, the number one aspect to success would be customer service concurrent with communication. We need to be able to openly communicate with our clients about every step in a real estate transaction. We have to be available, understanding, and ready to take on questions and concerns at any given time.

Lauren, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Lauren Wheat. I am a wife, mother, and full time real estate agent. I have been in the business almost two years now and I absolutely love it! I love helping people purchase their dream home, as well as helping people get the most money possible for their home if they are selling. I cut no corners and spare no detail when it comes to real estate. I believe in transparency and what serves my client. I truly look out for their best interest and I believe that communication and availability are key! I have more than doubled my sales in my second year of real estate due to my dedication and love for what I do. I intend to keep on moving up, while continuing to provide my clients with the utmost service as possible! I enjoy thinking outside of the box, and making my clients friends!
How did you build your audience on social media?
Social Media has been my major source of exposure. I love social media for advertisement because it’s FREE and does not take too much of your time. If you post relevant topics in your line of business almost daily, your followers will NEVER forget your profession. Stay in front of your audience at all times and be the expert in your field. Some feedback that I have received is that people like when I post factual and informative information that you can learn from. For example, I am in real estate, but I occasionally post information on capital gains tax, homestead exemptions, or HOA information. You have to be able to think outside of the box and post informational content that is not solely hard focused on one topic, rather multiple topics that surround your line of work that are beneficial. Key word is “beneficial.” People want to read useful information! Do it often and don’t let anyone forget what you do!

I had to have a pretty major surgery back in April of 2021, and you better believe I was out showing houses two days later! I wasn’t about to let my clients miss out on their dream home! No way, no how!
