We recently connected with Lauren Soto and have shared our conversation below.
Lauren, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
The decision to start my own business didn’t come from one big, dramatic moment—it was more of a slow, steady realization that kept building over time. Deep down, I knew I was craving something more. The ability to make a deeper impact, have more freedom, and be better aligned with the kind of business I wanted to establish.
Working for other companies gave me a solid foundation, and I’m grateful for the lessons I learned. But over time, I started to feel a disconnect. I was putting my heart into the work, showing up with passion and purpose—but the compensation and structure didn’t reflect that. I felt limited by someone else’s systems, someone else’s vision. Even before grad school, there was this persistent inner voice telling me I was meant to build something of my own—something that felt more expansive and aligned.
Now, in my mid-20s, that sense of purpose has only grown stronger. I want a life where I don’t have to choose between making a meaningful impact and being present for the people who matter most. Creating my own online business gives me that freedom. It allows me to pour into women’s health in a way that feels authentic, while also creating space to travel, build a family, and live life on my terms. And the best part? I get to walk alongside other women as they pursue lives that feel just as intentional and empowered.

Lauren, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hey there! I’m Lauren, Coach Laur to my clients, and I am the founder of Ladies Lifestyle with Laur, LLC. I’m a women’s health coach and hormone health advocate, but more than that, I’m someone who’s deeply committed to helping women feel like themselves again—energized, confident, and fully supported from the inside out.
I created LLL because I got tired of seeing women dismissed, misinformed, or pushed into one-size-fits-all advice that only left them more confused and burnt out. The truth? No two women are the same. Our bodies, hormones, goals, and lifestyles are all incredibly personal—and your wellness plan should reflect that. That’s what sets this space apart.
Everything I do is built around you—your story, your symptoms, your pace, your vision for the life you want. My approach goes way beyond just food or workouts. We look at the full picture: nutrition, hormones, mindset, lifestyle habits, and most importantly—how to create sustainable change that actually feels good.
My roots in health and fitness run deep. I grew up always being active, competing as a competitive cheerleader, and I always loved learning about health—but I unfortunately also experienced the toxic pressures of early 2000s diet culture firsthand. For years, I struggled with my own weight, confidence, and relationship with food. I’ve been the “bigger girl,” I’ve felt overlooked, and I’ve questioned my worth based on a number on the scale. That lived experience is why LLL is built on compassion, not comparison.
However, nutrition wasnt always the goal. In college, I was on track to become a physical therapist, but was drained and disconnected from this careerm questioning every step. One elective nutrition course completely changed my life trajectory and reignited something I didn’t even know I was missing—and that spark has fueled me since.
I went on to earn my master’s in Applied Nutrition (with a concentration in health promotion and disease prevention) in 2024, became a certified nutrition coach via National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in 2022, and began working one-on-one with real women—learning, growing, and beginning to build what would eventually become Ladies Lifestyle with Laur.
But the real “why” behind my specific mission runs even deeper. I watched my own mom suffer silently through endometriosis and brutal menopause symptoms—dismissed by doctors, brushed off instead of helped and empathized with. It was heartbreaking, and made me realize how badly our traditional health system is failing women.
That’s why here at LLL, I do things differently. Our programs don’t promote restricticition…we provide sustainable support. We don’t push quick fixes, we focus on sustanability in the long run.
I help women understand what’s going on in their bodies and how to work with their hormones instead of against them. It’s about education, empowerment, and making your wellness work for your life—not some cookie-cutter plan or unrealistic standards. As women we are all so different, and require such specialized interventions, especially when there are hormonal conditions involved.
So whether your goal is to boost energy, feel stronger, heal your gut, balance your hormones, or just stop feeling like a stranger in your own body—I’m here to guide you, step by step. Together, we’ll build a foundation of wellness that’s not just doable but enjoyable. One that fits into your lifestyle—not takes over it.
Because when women are well-supported, informed, and aligned with their bodies… they become truly unstoppable.
Something that I’m genuinely proud of is building my online presence completely from the ground up. When I started, I had zero followers—no audience waiting, no viral post, just a deep passion and a message I knew needed to be shared. With the support of my mentors, a willingness to keep learning, and a whole lot of consistency, I grew my following to almost 300 people in just a few months. And while that might seem small to some, to me, it’s incredibly meaningful.
Because behind every follow is a real woman—someone who’s curious, overwhelmed, looking for answers, or ready to take her health into her own hands. That’s who I show up for every day.
But even more powerful than the numbers? The private messages, texts, and real-life conversations with friends, family, and even acquaintances who’ve told me my content helped them see their health in a new light. That kind of feedback reminds me exactly why I started. It’s not about going viral—it’s about creating real connection and empowering women to finally feel heard, supported, and confident in their bodies.
Knowing I can make that kind of impact, even in these early stages, is what keeps me going. This mission is bigger than me—and I’m just getting started.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Aside from all the fancy degrees and credentials, I truly believe the most important qualities for success in the women’s nutrition space are empathy, patience, and unwavering passion. Women often come to us carrying years—sometimes decades—of confusion, shame, frustration, and even trauma around their bodies, food, health, and hormones. Being able to meet them halfway with some compassion while still being a clear, confident guiding figure for them is absolutely essential.
Empathy allows you to build real trust, which is the foundation of any lasting transformation. But at the same time, you have to be able to gently hold boundaries and lead with strength when needed—because clients are relying on you not just to listen, but to guide. It’s a delicate balance between being a safe space and being the accountability they didn’t know they needed.
Above all, though, you have to care about what you’re doing and who you’re helping. The passion to help women truly heal—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally—is what carrys you through the challenges faced as a nutrition professional. It’s what keeps me going on those difficult days, what motivates me to continue learning and improving, and what allows me to show up fully for my clients, even when progress or business feels slow.
Building trust with clients, especially in this vulnerable of a space, doesn’t happen overnight. But when you show up consistently with patience, genuine care, and a belief in their potential—even before they believe in themselves—that’s where the magic happens and real change can begin.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Throughout my journey, I’ve been met with a mix of support and skepticism—and it’s the skepticism that really tested my resilience. When I decided to build Ladies Lifestyle with Laur, a lot of people didn’t quite get it. They saw it as a hobby or a “side thing” I was dabbling in—not a legitimate career I was building from the ground up. And honestly, that was tough.
Explaining that yes, this is my job, and no, it’s not just about making Instagram posts or giving random health tips—it’s a full-on mission to help women heal, feel empowered, and change their lives—was something I found myself having to justify more often than I expected.
What made it even harder was that I was starting completely from scratch. No big platform. No financial backing. Just a deep-rooted belief in what I was doing and a desire to show up consistently, even when I wasn’t sure who was watching. There were days when it felt like I was pouring my heart into something that no one fully understood or valued yet, and those are the moments where resilience is born—not from feeling strong, but from choosing to keep going when it would be easier to give up.
I kept telling myself, The people who need this will find me, but only if I stay in it. And so I did. I kept showing up, kept learning, and kept trusting the process. And little by little, the messages started coming in—women saying they finally felt seen, heard, and hopeful because of something I shared. Those moments reminded me that the impact was real, even when the results weren’t instant.
What keeps me going is knowing that my passion, purpose, and the value I bring to women’s lives outweigh the fear of failure or judgment. Resilience isn’t about being fearless—it’s about being driven enough to keep moving forward despite the fear.
