Hi Lauren, thanks for joining us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?

New Year’s Eve, 2019, was a defining moment — the night everything changed. It ultimately catapulted me into the world of alternative wellness and energy healing. Though, calling it a “career” doesn’t quite fit… this is soul work. My divine mission.

In the three years leading up to that night, life as I knew it had completely crumbled. My decade-long career as a Police Officer ended after PTSD hit hard. Years of witnessing violence, trauma, and loss left me battling depression, anxiety, flashbacks, paranoia, and chronic insomnia. Being medically discharged was devastating. That job was my identity. I’d lived and breathed the culture — a culture only emergency workers truly understand — and suddenly, it was gone. The loss triggered a massive identity crisis.

In the midst of that chaos, my two beautiful children came into the world. Their light was everything. But when my youngest was just six months old, life shattered again — my partner was suddenly incarcerated. I was left solo parenting two babies, drowning in PTSD, fear, emotions, and the weight of it all. I felt utterly lost. Who was I, really? Why had everything fallen apart? What was my purpose — beyond motherhood?

This is the short version of a very dark time, but I was at rock bottom. And I knew I had to rise. That night under the stars on New Year’s Eve, I begged the universe for answers: Who am I? Why am I here? That moment cracked something open. I unknowingly welcomed the voice of my soul.

In the weeks and months that followed, everything shifted. Through daily meditation and deep self-reflection, I started to hear her clearly — my inner voice guiding me into soul remembrance. I followed the breadcrumbs. Learned about spirituality, the universe, and eventually found Reiki. Energy healing played a massive role in my personal healing. I felt called to it — and once attuned, I knew it was part of my path.

Reiki amplified the gifts I’d always felt within but never fully honored. I began to work with energy in ways that felt ancient and intuitive. I could sense and shift frequency, access past and parallel lives, communicate with spirit, and channel cosmic energies.

My inner voice made it clear: I was meant to share these gifts. And so in 2022, Codes of Gold was born.

I truly believe there are golden nuggets within our most challenging life experiences — divine wisdom that carries powerful purpose. If we pay attention, the teachings become clear. And when we remember our divinity, we unlock the magic to live a soul-led life.

My mission now? To guide others through the journey of soul remembrance — helping them uncover the parts of themselves that hold the keys to their greater purpose.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Hi, I’m Lauren McLeish — Divine Energy Alchemist, Multidimensional Activator, Soul Remembrance Catalyst, Energy Expert, Light Language Channel, and Divine Truth Conduit. My work is so multidimensional it’s hard to box into one label — and honestly, I love it that way.

I live in a quiet pocket of semi-rural NSW, Australia, with my partner and our two young boys. We’re creating a simple, nature-connected life — and slowly but surely, that dream is becoming reality.

From a young age, I knew I was connected to something beyond the ordinary. I could sense things others couldn’t — spirit, energy, emotions, truth that hadn’t yet been spoken. But without support or understanding, I learned to push that part of myself aside and just “get on with life.”

I went on to become a Police Officer, and for a while, I loved it — the unpredictability, the camaraderie, the sense of contributing something meaningful. But after a decade, I found myself facing the all-too-common aftermath of frontline work: PTSD. Life became a daily battle. And then, more curveballs — life-changing events that left me alone, raising two small children, and deep in the trenches of my own internal chaos.

Psych appointments and medication helped, but something was missing. I knew there had to be more to healing. Then I found Reiki — or maybe Reiki found me. One session changed everything. The woman who held that space for me is still one of my mentors to this day.

The experience was so powerful that within weeks I was attuned and learning to work with energy myself. And as I channeled life force through my body, something awakened — the intuitive gifts I’d shut down in childhood came flooding back. It was the beginning of my soul remembrance. The journey back to who I truly am… and why I’m here.

As I practiced Reiki on myself and those close to me, my abilities deepened. I found I could read energy in a unique way — seeing spirit guides, soul wounds, parallel lives, galactic origins, and passed loved ones. I began channeling light language, accessing the Akashic Records, and communicating with higher realms. I wasn’t just working with chakras. This was deeper. Vast. Multidimensional.

After two years of inner work, exploration, and integration, I knew it was time to serve. In 2022, Codes of Gold was born — my soul-led business, run entirely online. What started as an Instagram page slowly grew into a beautiful, high-frequency community that I’m so grateful for.

Energy work transcends physical space, which means I can live out here in the Australian bush and still work with clients across the world — from Australia to New Zealand, the U.S. to Europe. It blows my mind sometimes, how something so personal can become so expansive.

This is my mission. My soul work. And I’m just getting started.

All of my offerings are centered around one core intention: soul remembrance. Over the years, I’ve created a variety of programs for individuals and groups, always aligned with what feels most relevant to the collective at the time. As I evolve, so does my work.

At the heart of it all are my energetic attunement sessions—my signature offering. These 1-hour sessions (via Zoom or distance) connect with the clients highest self to deliver a full-body, multidimensional recalibration. They help clear energetic blocks, activate your gifts, and bring through higher guidance and wisdom.

Each session is completely unique, guided by what’s present for the client in the moment—whether that’s healing trauma, releasing limiting beliefs, connecting with their star family or spirit guides, or awakening their divine gifts. It’s impossible to fully describe, because these sessions are truly alive, shaped by the soul’s needs.

Ultimately, my work is about helping others remember who they are—beyond the conditioning, beyond the stories. From that place, clarity, alignment, and inner power naturally rise.

What makes my work unique is that it’s deeply lived and fully embodied. I don’t just share energy work — I share wisdom, practices, and insight from my own journey, woven with the higher guidance I channel. I bring my own flavour, my own medicine — completely authentic, unapologetically me. I’ve walked through the dark to remember my light, and I know the power of soul remembrance because I’ve lived it. That journey had a purpose: to guide others through their own.

I want people to know that my work is soul-deep, authentic, and grounded in both lived experience and divine connection. This isn’t just energy work — it’s a remembrance journey. I help others reconnect with their essence, awaken their multidimensional self, and step into their unique magic and purpose. My work is intuitive, powerful, and unlike anyone else’s, because it’s born from my soul and tailored to each soul I work with.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

Unlearning has been a huge part of my journey. I’ve had to rewire so many beliefs — not just about myself, but about the very nature of reality. From such a young age, we’re all conditioned by parents, teachers, peers, and even strangers to see the world a certain way. We’re taught what’s right or wrong, but rarely taught how to tune into our inner world and feel into our truth.

We’re encouraged to look outside of ourselves for answers, instead of learning to trust our own inner compass — our intuition. And when we rely too heavily on the external, we lose touch with who we are. We play small, follow the crowd, and live out of alignment. Our unique essence and magic stay hidden, and we end up feeling unfulfilled.

One of the biggest unlearning moments for me was around people-pleasing. I was constantly seeking approval, fearing judgment, and overriding my own truth. I’d make decisions I knew weren’t right for me, and then feel that deep inner disappointment because I hadn’t listened to myself.

Starting my business and fully stepping into this spiritual path cracked that wide open. Coming out of the spiritual closet was scary — especially going from cop to energy healer — but it was such a vital part of reclaiming my truth. It took serious courage to own the weird and wonderful work I do and share it with the world.

The shift came when I re-learned — or rather, remembered — how to trust my intuition fully. I realized that while the logical voice in my head has a place, it’s my higher self who’s in the driver’s seat. Even when the guidance seems wild or makes no sense at all, I listen. And every time, it leads me exactly where I need to be.

Life flows so much more effortlessly when we follow the whispers of our soul. The magic unfolds when we stay true to who we really are. And yes, sometimes it feels incredibly uncomfortable… but that’s where the real growth lives.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

The entire journey of creating and running my soul-led business has been one big lesson in resilience.

Starting my Instagram, @laurens_codes_of_gold, was a huge turning point. It took serious strength to show up online — raw, real, and sharing my spiritual gifts. I knew not everyone would get it. And yep, some people ridiculed it. For a while, I’d cringe before hitting “post,” worrying how it would land. But I kept pushing my edges. Eventually, I realised: my work isn’t for everyone — it’s for the ones who are ready for it. And that’s more than enough.

Some friends and family drifted away as our beliefs no longer aligned. That hurt. But over time, I came to see it as a clearing — making space for deeper alignment with my soul and mission. There was a time I’d stay quiet about what I do, or tone it down to avoid discomfort — theirs and mine. But the more I practiced speaking my truth, the easier it got. Now? I own it. No holding back.

I’ve noticed when we start showing up as our true selves, it can make others uncomfortable. Some see it as us “changing.” But I’ve learned to meet that with neutrality, not emotion. Because the ones who are meant to stay will see the truth — that it’s not just change, it’s soul growth. They’ll witness us becoming more of who we really are, and they’ll honour it.

Truth is, I built resilience long before this business. Life prepared me. I learned how to stand firm in the face of judgment. I walked through fire I never thought I’d come out of. But I did — stronger, clearer, more connected to my power. I now know myself as a multidimensional being with every answer already within.

That is resilience.
