Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lauren Goldney. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Lauren, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?
How did Pattern Ops start? My husband is a current active duty Air Force fighter pilot. He wanted a classy button down shirt to wear with his A-10 jet on it. While deployed he decided to make a prototype of the shirt he wanted, and it caught on quickly with many other A-10 pilots and other squadrons wanting shirts to represent their aircraft also! We now carry many military aircraft shirts on our website.
Over the last few years we have expanded outside of aviation and have focused on the growth of the custom apparel side of our company. We partner with larger companies, brands, clubs, and organizations and offer a unique way to represent their brand. Some of our partners include Angels Envy Bourbon, Bulleit Bourbon, Bobcat, Cirrus Aircraft and more.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
As a military spouse, business owner, and entrepreneur, I place great value on the significance of relationships and the need to nurture them. I recognize the importance of building connections with others and maintaining those bonds over time. By actively engaging with people, I have come to understand that strong relationships not only enhance personal well-being but also contribute to professional success.
Whether it is in my personal or professional life, I believe that investing time and effort into relationships is essential for growth and fulfillment.
My background in mediation, sales, and customer service has equipped me with valuable skills that I can use to excel in various professional settings. Through my experience in mediation, I have learned how to effectively communicate and resolve conflicts between individuals. This has taught me the importance of active listening and finding mutually beneficial solutions. Additionally, my background in sales has honed my persuasive abilities and customer service skills. I have learned how to understand and meet the needs of customers, ensuring their satisfaction.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
We have gotten many referral clients who love our product and have shared it with other businesses- which we love! We also have an old school “door to door” sales mentality. I love to travel to different states and canvas businesses. I have found that making a face to face introduction has gotten us a great deal of business as well as really built a wonderful foundation for a lasting relationship with many of our clients.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
We continue to build our reputation as a well established small business. By retaining partnerships with larger companies with household names we build our own brand recognition and trust with potential clients.
