Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lauren Garza. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Lauren, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
In February of 2022, I met a beautiful bride online, Andrea through a Facebook group that referred my company, Timeless Event Planning, as a company she should consider. Our initial consultation was great, and our vibe was immediate. Early on, she was interested in having a wedding in San Antonio. A few weeks later she decided to change plans and get married in Cabo Mexico instead.
I could have declined, as I had not planned a destination wedding previously, but I took the risk to believe in myself and my brand. We flew out 1/30-2/3/2023 and had the best wedding celebrations leading up to the day of Josh & Andrea’s dreams.
I assisted with finding their resort, booking the vendors, flight & hotel accommodations for their guests, excursions, and so much more.
Had I not taken the risk to gain her business in such a way, I would have missed out on so many opportunities to do something that actually scaled my business to a higher level. I am so honored to now be an International Wedding Planner.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I became a full-time entrepreneur April of 2020 as a Wedding & Events Planner, Travel Agent & Licensed Life Insurance Agent. I feel like my brand sticks out because I am able to help my clients with all aspects of their life, along with their milestones! I can get you married, plan your honeymoon, design a perfect baby shower for your growing family and then make sure your legacy lives on. I’m proud of that honestly. I got here by the grace of God. Through Christ all things are possible. I put my full trust and faith in Him.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience by creating a brand. I started with creating a brand kit, with choosing colors, text fonts and styles that fit my business look. My logo was created with the help of one of my business partners, Designs UNV. I felt my logo it should stand out and people should be able to recognize immediately. When I post on social media, I stay true to that. I joined groups that helped get my name out there. I learned its best acknowledge my followers and not be the type to just post and ghost always. Its best to speak and chime in on what others have going on, which keeps my business relevant as well. It’s a process but I stay consistent with posting. I’m so glad most social media sites have updated to where one can also stay ahead of the game and schedule social posts. That has been a time saver!
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source so far for my business has been Google and Facebook.
