We recently connected with Lauren Garcia and have shared our conversation below.
Lauren, appreciate you joining us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
The seeds of Bloom Social Club were planted during our first pop-up event, the ‘Bloom Bazaar,’ born from my desire to connect with women in the small business world while fostering both financial profitability and meaningful friendships and collaborations for my clothing business, Laurel and Magnolia. For a month, I pondered over the idea of hosting such an event, scouring for venues and vendors amidst doubts about gaining trust, securing attendees, and more.
After the success of our inaugural event, the pressing need for a community for women in business became glaringly apparent. In the following months, I meticulously laid the groundwork for launch. From designing the website to crafting engaging content, every detail was carefully planned. I reached out to potential collaborators, seeking to build a network of like-minded individuals who shared our vision. Despite progress, doubts lingered: Would people resonate with our mission?
Yet, the impact has been undeniable. Looking back, the journey from idea to execution was filled with challenges and triumphs. Through unwavering perseverance and passion, Bloom Social Club has flourished into a thriving community, leaving a profound mark on the lives of women entrepreneurs everywhere.
Lauren, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Lauren Garcia, and I’m deeply passionate about empowering women entrepreneurs to thrive in their businesses and beyond. My journey into the world of entrepreneurship began at a young age, fueled by a desire to create and connect with others. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats – from blogger and content creator to boutique bakery owner and co-founder of an online boutique, Laurel and Magnolia. I am also a pediatric nurse practitioner!
Through these ventures, I’ve honed my skills and gained invaluable experience in branding, marketing, and community building. This journey ultimately led me to found Bloom Social Club, a vibrant network dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs on their paths to success.
At Bloom, we provide a range of services and resources designed to help women thrive in their businesses. From networking events and workshops to social media marketing and collaboration opportunities, we offer a supportive community where women can connect, learn, and grow together.
One of the key problems we solve for our clients is the feeling of isolation and lack of support often experienced by women entrepreneurs. By cultivating and fostering our community of like-minded individuals (our babes who bloom), we provide a space where women can share experiences, seek advice, and form meaningful connections.
What sets Bloom Social Club apart is our unwavering commitment to authenticity, collaboration, and empowerment. We believe in lifting each other up, celebrating successes, and navigating challenges together as a community. Our holistic approach to entrepreneurship focuses not only on business growth but also on personal development and well-being.
I’m incredibly proud of the impact Bloom Social Club has had on the lives of women entrepreneurs. Seeing our members thrive, form lasting friendships, and achieve their goals is truly rewarding.
In essence, I want potential clients, followers, and fans to know that Bloom Social Club is more than just a business – it’s a supportive community, a source of inspiration, and a catalyst for growth. Whether you’re just starting out on your entrepreneurial journey or looking to take your business to the next level, Bloom is here to support you every step of the way.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
At first, I was all about the brand and marketing the event and not so much about showing my face. Looking back, I’d totally change that. Letting people see the person behind the brand is key to building a loyal community. After all, who doesn’t want their biz bestie cheering them on? That is who I want to be to the women in my community.
My biggest advice for those just starting out? Forget about the follower count! It’s all about that real connection. I’d rather have a tight-knit crew of 10 who engage with my posts than 3000 ghost followers. Be real, be consistent, and be there for your community.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Staying connected with clients and building brand loyalty is all about keeping things authentic and genuine. I make sure to touch base regularly through emails, social media updates, and friendly chats, keeping them in the loop about what’s new and exciting.
Whenever they reach out, I’m quick to respond with helpful advice and a smile, making sure they feel heard and valued. I also love hanging out with them on social media, sharing laughs, and celebrating their wins together! I also love to facilitate IRL events for these women to meet, talk, and collaborate.
Most importantly, I keep things real and consistent, so they know they can always count on me to be there, cheering them on every step of the way.
