We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lauren Elle. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lauren below.
Lauren , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
One thing I prioritize differently than others in my brand is my emphasis on quality over quantity. In today’s world, it’s common to focus on gaining a following and competing in the popularity contest that social media often becomes.
When I started my brand 7.5 years ago, I also had that mindset. But I quickly realized that trends don’t align with the work of a metaphysician. The work of a spiritual advisor, alchemist, mystic, and metaphysician goes beyond mainstream appeal—it resides in a place often hidden from view, deep within society’s “taboo” spaces.
On Instagram and Patreon, I’ve created a spiritual community focused on authentic self-discovery. My Instagram community fosters a sense of belonging, while Patreon provides a more intimate “tribe” experience of togetherness. Through my practices, I’ve been able to help thousands of people build a new relationship with themselves and rediscover their personal power.
This kind of community is crucial because it operates in cycles. Those who are further along in their spiritual journey guide and support newcomers, creating a culture where everyone is both a learner and a teacher. In a world where everyone seems to want to be an expert, it’s refreshing to remember that even the most experienced among us still have lessons to learn.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Lauren; my internet cousins call me Elle. I have been the owner and operator of Trap Hauss, formerly known as Echelon Magic Boutique, for the last 7.5 years.
About 15 years ago, I began to take my life experiences more seriously. As I realized that I was not responsible for what had happened to me previously, but I was now taking accountability for my future. I took a journey to the desert, and I was met by my future self. She was much happier, more vibrant, and more confident than I’d ever been. That journey began the trek to the initiation of my higher consciousness and capabilities within this universe.
My brand is different because of the authenticity of the origin story attached to it. The type of services that I provide allow individuals to hear their highest consciousness very clearly, sometimes for the first time. My products consist of one-on-one spiritual advisory, protection work, fixed oils, and workshops. Hundreds of women have conquered infertility via my vaginal herbal products, and thousands have been liberated through our interactions. Words cannot express the joy I feel when a client starts a session with a burden and leaves with a treasure.
What I would like future clients, followers, and tribe members to know is that no one is coming to save you. No amount of ritual or affirmation will ensure your ideal success. However, you have an interconnectedness to Divine source energy. It is infinite, and always providing for and protecting you. My job is not to do the work for you, but to illuminate the path where you’re doing the construction.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
“Something I’ve had to unlearn is self-deprecation. As a survivor of abuse and neglect, it was easy for me to talk myself out of opportunities before I even walked in the door—self-sabotage was practically my middle name.
When I began to reconnect with my highest self, I started to see that my capabilities are endless. The reprogramming process wasn’t easy by any means, but it was completely worth it.
In this life, we get what we think about, whether we want it or not. That’s why it’s best to focus on thinking mostly good things.”
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
“My side hustle did turn into my career for about four years, but then reality kicked in. We often read and hear so much about the benefits of ownership and being a business owner, but seldom do we hear about how tough it is to wear multiple hats. As a small business owner, you’re responsible for being the face of the brand, managing operations, handling inventory, and overseeing HR. After those four years of solely working for myself, I decided to return to my first career part-time. That change provided the work-life balance I needed, without the constant stress of trying to juggle everything alone.” I now have a sense of rebirth in my brand and for my clients.
