We were lucky to catch up with Lauren Nadel & Christin Neal recently and have shared our conversation below.

Lauren & Christin, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?

People are creating magic around the world. Talent lacks the visibility they are worthy of. When you’re not a local, it takes deep research to find out what’s going on in the arts & culture scene in cities globally from Jakarta, Indonesia to Buenos Aires, Argentina – and why? We all have access behind our screens to connect with one another- let’s use it wisely. That’s why MAFF was born.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?

L: I started out working in film and music. From writing research papers to sweeping floors and translating contracts- I’d take on any task to remain in the presence of artists I admired. Creation is the universal language of love and witnessing it- whether in person or behind a screen- is a celebration I forever want to take part in.
My partner, our Co-Founder, Christin started his career as an artist. The reason I raise this is here and below, is at our core, creator and consumer are intertwined.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

MAFF is led with love. It’s authentic. We are learning as we go and we keep true to who we are. We celebrate creators worldwide for the sake of admiration and gratitude.
