Laurel, appreciate you joining us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
The best way to show your customer you appreciate them is by exceeding their expectations and creating space for surprise and delight. The ultimate appreciation of a client is to treat them with mutual respect, and garner trust between the two of you so they are able to focus on other important aspects of their participation in the event at large. Giving client’s back time – whether to be used at work or personally, is one of the most underestimated gifts.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
The key to managing a team and keeping morale high in high-stress situations is fostering a sense of safety and maintaining communication channels so you can accurately support your team as needed. Simplifying systems, ensuring trainings are efficient and thorough, and encouraging new ideas from your team also foster growth. Never underestimate the power of a good laugh or well timed cocktail hour.
