Hi Laura, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.
As a home organizer I am always striving for a simpler solution to what a family currently has in place. One of my most recent projects I organized a teenage boys closet. He had held onto toys that were meaningful in his younger years, an appreciation for sports cards and a need for space. As a mom it melted my heart to see all the action figures, stuffed animals and mementos. I am so humbled in projects like these where I get to create a space for all of the special memories as well as make room for new ones. When the mom saw the final result she made mention of just how much work went into her sons closet. All of the details she noticed and appreciated, which is exactly why I love what I do!
Laura, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I got into this amazing business when I became a single mom. It was a moment when I needed some extra income and I knew I had a passion for organizing! So I started by organizing my friends homes. From there they shared my work and my client list began to grow. I specialize in home organization in every area of the home. What sets me apart is I let you tell me what you need. You do not have to spend a lot of money on containers, I am more than happy to use what you already have to create an organized solution. I work within your budget! The best compliment I have ever received is the space that I organized still looks the same 6 months later. That means that I created a system that is easy to use and functional, which is my main goal every time I am organizing.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
For me it has been word of mouth that has grown my clientele. Every single client has been a friend of someone that I have organized for. Which is the biggest compliment I could ever ask for!
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I really care about the details. My organization is a representation of me and my work ethic. I believe that my clients see that in the end results of their spaces. That’s what I think sets me apart.
