We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Laura Seed. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Laura below.
Hi Laura , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful project I have ever worked on was my Talk, Tarot & Tea oracle deck created over a 9 month span. Consisting of 45 cards accompanying a 100 page booklet the magical deck featured three areas to explore The Mind, The Body and The Soul. Each area has 15 cards ranging from topics such as boundaries, inner child healing and being authentic. It was self published and I wrote the entire booklet, designed the cards and photographed the artwork myself.
The Talk, Tarot & Tea oracle deck was inspired by working with hundreds of women and realising we all have the same things in common no matter our backgrounds. We want to feel connected to each other on a soulful level and we want to feel heard. From working with oracle and tarot cards over the past 10 years I found I had to incorporate multiple decks and resources in order to do the deep healing I needed both with myself and clients. Many sessions I had experienced myself with readers I found I left with a big question mark and not really any clue on were I needed to explore next.
I ran women’s circles in local cafes and community centres and the basic concept of them was we would focus on a topic, do a meditation on the topic of the night, journal, share, drink tea and pull a card. This is how Talk, Tarot & Tea was born into the world and now I can share it with others. I wanted people to have an indicator of how they could solve the problem they were exploring without needing to be there in person, My biggest problem to solve was how can I share my energy and help others without needing to be always present. Through journal prompts, messages, crystals, angels to call in and tea to buy and try I wanted it to be a little box of magic in the customers pocket. A book that will accompany them through many of life’s highs and lows hopefully inspiring there own journey of spirituality through themselves and with others.
For me its my heart and soul in a product, a little bit of a journey I’ve been on for 32 years. Whilst creating the deck I went through huge highs and even bigger lows and the deck was and is still a catalyst for my own growth. Being able to create a product that shows my true authentic self is something I hope every single creator gets to experience one day. It reminded me of my own abilities as a self made creator and the difference it has already made in other peoples lives really makes the whole project worth it. It helped me express my Inner Wild Fire.

Laura , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Laura, and I’m an Irish based spiritual artist and teacher. I am originally from Liverpool, UK and moved to Ireland when I was 15 years old and finally got the sense of home. As a PTSD survivor, anxious over-thinker and perfectionist I like to share my experiences, my journey and my soul in all of my work. Spirituality is at the route of who I am and it will always be at the forefront of my work in design, art and circles. My art helps me process the deeper heavier emotions that I may not be comfortable sharing upfront. My spiritual journey happened really authentically when I got my first tarot reading at 24 years old. I had never felt so seen before and from then on I delved really deep into everything around it. Inner Wild Fire, my business, was created around 4 years ago and my goal through my business was to help others find there Inner Wild Fire by sharing my journey of my own. My life hasn’t been perfect but my goal was to share the good, the bad and the ugly and make a difference along the way.
Curiosity and my interest in spirituality has helped me explore many different avenues in the realm from teaching workshops, painting mystical artwork, writing my own meditations, designing websites and logos, doing tarot and oracle readings and of-course designing my own Talk, Tarot and Tea oracle deck which includes all of the above skills in one singular project.
The services I offer are tarot & oracle readings, coaching, my own products such as my oracle deck, clothing, art prints or stickers, graphic design and workshop facilitation. I think what sets me apart is my story, my experience and my own particular way of teaching. I have been told I give of a very nurturing motherly energy and I like to think this comes across in both my in-person work and in my products. I like people to feel safe to share as they express there deepest innermost desires and worries to me.
I am most proud of my oracle deck because it was a product I wanted to create for years before it came to be. I plan on creating more and more oracle decks and eventually having my own studio space that incorporates both my oracle decks and my teaching so I can really focus on helping people in my own authentic way.
Working with me will push you to really focus on the pain points in a way that doesn’t feel so intense. I like my clients to leave knowing exactly what steps they need to take next. Whether you buy a print from me or do a 1-1 session I will explore and share those parts of yourself that maybe no-one else has called out. The work will be deep but equally as rewarding.
As my business name suggests I will help you find your Inner Wild Fire so if you’re ready and curious do get in touch!

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
I feel society as a whole needs to educate themselves on sensitivity and emotion in a huge way because unfortunately many artists fall trap of outside opinions, experiences and never full hone there skills fully because of this. Society has came such a huge way when it comes to understanding the sensitivity, creativity and vulnerability many artists have to tap into to create such beautiful work but I still feel like there is this underlying line were it feels like different generations are failing too except this. With the way living costs are nowadays many creatives are lucky to be able to even create the work they want too because just to survive many artists have to either sacrifice the time in order to work. I definetely think there could be more discussion about the power creative people have in society and the way they can change things around especially in this Ai era. There are so many discussions on how much Ai is going to stifle creativity but in my opinion I feel society fails to recognise that it also means hand-painted art such as my own can really get an opportunity to now flourish. Reading up on topics such as HSP (Highly sensitive people) and sharing more topics around the power of creative people and the influence they can have on society are just some of the ways that the creative eco system can really flourish going forward.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I must make money from my art otherwise I can’t create any art. There is this perception that in order to be an artist you must make a living from it and for so many years I have said no to a lot of amazing ideas simply because I was so determined to commercialise my artwork and make a living as a full time artist. It is not to say that this can never happen but I feel as artists we all fall trap into trying to make our artwork bring in cashflow and for me it has really been the downfall of my career. I punished myself for not making money, I wouldn’t paint for months because I wasn’t bringing in a pay check. It really made me develop this distaste in myself as an artist and lose the reason why I paint in the first place. For me creating art has always been about accessing my safe space, sharing my emotions towards different life experiences and reaching others. It was never about being rich and famous so removing that from the equation has been a godsend in my evolution. One day I will no doubt be well known as a creator but until that point I am happy to say I am creating everyday and the money is just an added bonus no longer my priority.
