We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Laura Mueller. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Laura below.
Laura, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
While we are in the Financial Services Industry, we’re not really “of it”, as we do things different than the rest..
The Financial Services Industry is very transactional, and while we also create transactions, our approach is first provide education to individuals and families.
We empower families to grow and protect their wealth by simplifying financial concepts. We know that no one cares about their own money more than they do. Therefore we make sure our clients fully informed, so that they can feel confident in making great financial decisions for themselves.
During the solution-building process, we pull in the right financial products that are relevant to our client’s goals of achieving financial freedom, giving them total peace of mind. Think of us as the “Amazon” of Financial Services, except we are not in consumer product distribution, instead we are in financial product distribution. Our depth of access is aligned with products from more than 200 companies (investment, insurance, estate planning, debt management, etc). This kind of wingspan allows us to create “freedom of choice” for our clients, so they never feel like we are offering them one a quota-drven solution.
In the end, we are creating lifetime clients whom also become lifetime students of the information we are constantly sharing. Our goal is for everyone to have the access to a financial freedom roadmap and that begins with education and sound decision-making along the path.
There is no minimum income levels AND we do complimentary consultations to discover if we are the right fit.

Laura, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My background as a sales professional in the medical space gave me the experience I needed to know that I enjoy educating and helping families.
After taking time out of the workforce to raise my 3 children – I was ready to go back when my youngest entered school. While I was grateful to have the opportunity to be home with them, I was excited to get back to work. That was….until I wasn’t! The idea of working long hours away from my family with limited vacation and limited pay no longer seemed like a good option.
I literally asked the universe to send me an answer – Everyday for a week I said “What I do is important and I will find work that helps others while being my authentic self”. You may think this is crazy but that week I was introduced to someone very respected and successful in the Financial industry who offered to mentor me in this business. Instead of a job I found a business and a passion. I highly recommend asking the universe or praying for what you want!
When I discovered the gap in these United States, regarding financial literacy and the lack of access to solutions, I knew we had to become the best at our craft and impact as many individuals and families as possible – but all of that had to start in our own home;
When I took time to learn and get clarity about how money works, I gained the skills to not only improve our own financial goals, but to address several areas of our action plan that was filled with holes (and we didn’t even know it!).
This journey has brought me more than just monetary gains. It has instilled a sense of confidence and peace of mind, through leadership, entrepreneurship, building teams and serving others. I no longer feel intimidated by the social understanding of how to build wealth nor am I overwhelmed or uncertain about our own financial future.
Financial freedom isn’t just about having more “things”. It is about having access to the best healthcare, a safe environment for our families and time to focus on healthy relationships.
Something that I’ve learned from coaches & mentors over the years is to always practice gratitude and speak life into myself through “I am” statements. Here are a few of them:
I am GRATEFUL to have access to the best business mentors, the greatest system, and the opportunity to share it with others to help them make powerful decisions toward financial independence!
I BELIEVE that I can make a difference. I BELIEVE that there is a gap in this country when it comes to Financial Education and helping families help themselves! I BELIEVE that when our finances are in order we have better relationships, we GIVE more, and we are more JOYOUS.
I envision a future where every family in the US has the knowledge, access and resources to achieve financial security and reach their financial goals.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Relationship, relationship, relationship. Every services business must focus on delivering value to clients and our model is to deliver all of that value up front, which builds trust and relationship. When we are effective in this manner, our business never reaches cold market, rather it just keeps expanding through the “wow” factor of what we can help clients do for their own financial future. As far as we can see, that’s an evergreen space in this country, so as long as we keep delivering value, building trust and delivering solid outcomes, our business will never stop growing.
Because of these great relationships that I have met through my business, work does not feel like work! I am grateful for the clients in my life, many who have become friends.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
After many years of building through corporate career paths, my husband and I decided that he would leave his corporate job and we would embark the greatest risk of our life by starting our first company – in the fashion and apparel space. In order to make it all happen, we sold our home, some of our assets, we stacked our cash and we bootstrapped this company.
We knew very little about that fashion industry (other than the products we engineered and designed), we had no mentors or coaches and everything was trial by fire. Like so many businesses, we felt all of the pain of the pandemic in 2020, as our manufacturing was all based in California. As you may know, the lockdowns were forced and when manufacturing and supply chain is locked down, our distribution became strained as well.
We still weathered the storm, but the set-backs, the delays, the misses, the losses were very intense. That said, we learned so much about what we really wanted out of a business. We knew we didn’t ever want to go through that again and that it would be important to build resistance to recessions or market adjustments, along with veering away from capital intensive business models. In the end, I’m so happy we kept finding a way to push through, as that first business led us to building our current company and I could not be more grateful for that journey.
