Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to LAURA HUSTON. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
LAURA, appreciate you joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I hope people remember that I made space for others—especially women—to rise. That I didn’t just build a business, I built a platform. Through Belle & Bottle and the Foundation, I’ve worked to elevate voices and brands that deserve more recognition—boutique winemakers, sustainable farmers, bold entrepreneurs—people who are doing the work with heart and integrity.
I want my legacy to be one of connection, impact, and intention. That I helped people feel seen, celebrated, and empowered to create their own ripple effect—whether through the experiences we shared, the stories we told, or the opportunities we created. That I built something that mattered—because it made others feel like they mattered.
And if they say I threw one hell of a good party while doing it? Even better.
As the mom of two boys, I also hope I’ve shown them how powerful it is when women are uplifted—because when women thrive, entire communities do. I want them to grow up understanding that creating space for others doesn’t take anything away from you—it expands what’s possible for everyone.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Laura Huston, and I’m the founder of Belle & Bottle—a modern wine company that blends expert curation with bold storytelling, impact-driven giving, and unforgettable experiences. At our core, we’re disrupting the traditional wine world and rewriting the rules of what wine culture should be—welcoming, connected, and full of meaning.
I’ve spent over 14 years in the wine and hospitality industry, from buying and programming for chefs to working alongside award-winning wineries. I built Belle & Bottle as a way to bring everything I loved—boutique wines, authentic connection, and elevated hospitality—into one mission-led brand. We offer wine clubs, curated gifts, private tastings, concierge services for events, and corporate experiences, all centered on thoughtful storytelling and wines that overdeliver.
But we’re not just about what’s in the glass. Through our non-profit, the Belle & Bottle Foundation, we donate 30% of proceeds from our Hustle + Heart label and partner experiences to support women entrepreneurs and community builders. Because to me, wine should do more than taste good—it should do good.
What sets us apart is our intention. Every wine is handpicked. Every event is designed for connection. And every bottle carries a story worth sharing. Whether it’s helping a client create a one-of-a-kind wine experience, sourcing the perfect bottles for their event, or introducing them to a winemaker who’s breaking barriers—we don’t just sell wine, we curate moments.
I’m most proud of the community we are building—people who believe in purpose, not just products. People who want to support small producers, female founders, and businesses doing things differently. Belle & Bottle is more than a brand—it’s a movement, and we are just getting started.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Reputation is earned when people trust not just what you’re selling, but why you’re doing it—and I’ve always led with purpose. I built Belle & Bottle by curating wines with heart: boutique, often female-led producers who value quality, sustainability, and storytelling as much as I do. That authenticity resonated.
Add to that 14 years in the wine and event space, and a deep belief in hospitality—real connection, and attention to detail. Whether I’m curating a cellar, hosting a tasting, or helping someone pick the perfect bottle, I’m not chasing trends—I’m building relationships.
People remember that. They remember the experience, the wine, and the impact we’re making through the Belle & Bottle Foundation. That’s how we’ve grown—one glass, one story, one connection at a time.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
When I launched Belle & Bottle, I didn’t have outside investors or big capital behind me. I bootstrapped the business from the ground up—pulling from my savings, reinvesting every dollar that came in, and leveraging years of wine industry relationships to get access to high-quality products.
We actually grew during the pandemic as a way for people to stay connected through wine, even from a distance. Now, we’re focused on maintaining our national presence through our wine clubs and curated gift offerings, while also putting down deep roots here in Tennessee—building something meaningful close to home. It’s been incredibly rewarding, but also a challenge. In many ways, expanding into a new region feels like starting over from scratch—but with the wisdom (and grit) of everything we’ve built so far.
The local community here has been amazing. I’ve found so many people who are not only supportive of our mission but excited to collaborate—farmers, chefs, creatives, and changemakers. Our work in Tennessee will lean even more heavily into regenerative agriculture, sustainability, and real experiences that bring people together. I know it will pay off—not just in business, but in the kind of impact we’re able to create together.
