Laura, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

The biggest risk I’ve ever taken was opening Fix Me Up Medical Spa as a new nurse, at the start of the pandemic, right when the first stay-at-home order was issued. I launched the business all by myself, during a time when most people were closing their doors rather than starting something new.

It was an incredibly uncertain time, and the challenges were immense. I had to navigate not only the typical hurdles of starting a business but also the constantly changing guidelines and the fear that people might not be interested in aesthetic treatments during such a difficult period.

Despite these obstacles, the risk paid off. Fix Me Up Medical Spa grew quickly, providing a much-needed sense of self-care and normalcy to clients during a challenging time. Looking back, I’m proud of the leap I took, which not only shaped my career but also showed me the power of resilience and belief in my vision.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I’m Laura Grigoryan, a nurse practitioner and the founder of Fix Me Up Medical Spa. I have always known that aesthetics was my calling. My journey began with a passion for both nursing and the artistry of enhancing one’s natural beauty.

Fix Me Up Medical Spa was born from this passion, and it is more than just a business to me—it is a space where I combine my medical expertise with my artistic eye to offer treatments that are both effective and personalized to each client’s unique features and goals.

In addition to my role at Fix Me Up Medical Spa, I am a national trainer for Allergan Medical Institute and also have my very own training program called FMU Academy. This allows me to share my knowledge and passion with others who are eager to learn and grow in this field. It is important to me to contribute to the industry by ensuring that the next generation of injectors are well-equipped with the skills and understanding needed to excel in their craft.

At the young age of 21, I also started another successful business, which provided me with valuable experience and prepared me for the challenges of opening Fix Me Up Medical Spa. This background in entrepreneurship has been instrumental in shaping my approach to running my current business.

At our medical spa, we offer a range of aesthetic services, including Botox, dermal fillers, and skin rejuvenation treatments to name a few. Our approach is centered on subtle, yet impactful enhancements that help our clients look and feel their best without looking “done.” My motto is “subtle but effective”. We focus on achieving results that are noticeable in their beauty but undetectable in their artistry, allowing our clients to feel like the best versions of themselves.

What sets us apart is our commitment to safety, individualized care, and a deep understanding of the science behind each treatment. I bring my experience as a Nurse Practitioner to ensure that every procedure is performed with the highest standards of care.

I’m most proud of the trust and relationships we’ve built with our clients, especially celebrities like Cardi B, Amber Rose, Coi Leray, and many popular TV personalities. Many come to us seeking not just physical enhancement, but a boost in their confidence and self-esteem. Helping them achieve that is incredibly rewarding and is at the heart of why I do what I do.

In addition to training and knowledge, I believe that resilience, never giving up, creativity, and hard work are crucial for succeeding in the field of aesthetics. The industry can be challenging and is constantly evolving, therefore it requires a strong commitment to persevere through setbacks and continuing that strive for excellence. It is the combination of these qualities that truly drives success and helps navigate the ups and downs of the business.

Building my reputation within the market has been shaped by several key factors. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to quality, with a focus on delivering exceptional and personalized care, tailored to each client’s unique needs.
