We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Laura Graham a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Laura, thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
In my world of being a social media creator, consistency is KEY to success. Showing up every single day for your audience and just being yourself!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Laura was born and raised in Knoxville, TN and married her college sweetheart, Luke, in 2018. Their first born & precious pup, Lacie, was their center of attention until they welcomed their baby boy, Liam, into the world in September of 2020 and then little brother, Lincoln, in 2022.
Laura graduated from The University of Tennessee with a bachelors and masters degree in Human Resources Management. She worked full-time at Discovery, Inc. focuses in Benefits for over 5 years until she turned content creation into her full-time career.
She brought her passions and love for helping others together and created her online business, lauraelizabethgraham.com. She shares her everyday life, beauty & fashion tips as well as fitness and wellbeing content.
Have you ever had to pivot?
Being in social media, you CONSTANTLY have to pivot. When I first started, all “influencers” did was blog on a website and post Instagram posts. There were not Instagram stories or ANY type of video content. This was in 2018. Fast forward to 2023 and almost everything I post is video content!
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Consistency is KEY! Even when views are down, you have to show up every day! I personally think that if you want to be successful on social media, you genuinely have to enjoy what you’re posting!
