We were lucky to catch up with Laura Ford Huber recently and have shared our conversation below.
Laura, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Over the course of your career, have you seen or experienced your field completely flip-flop or change course on something?
Horticultural and landscape design background turned from a business model into a wellness and healing process for the earth and all living beings living on it.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Life long digestion issues led me to diving into natural sources through food and healing modalities. One thing led to the other from landscape related college degrees, extensive yoga and reiki trainings and herbalism certifications. Then learning how to evolve to blend all of these skills for self sovereignty and collective liberation.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I am always Trying to educate myself Where our schooling has deserted us
Understanding my privileges with sorrow and grief Trying to put myself in other people shoes, to understand and feel that full level of pain and suppression and oppression
This begins with reciprocity with Mother Earth, with my own foot print and limiting as much harm as I can.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
Trauma informed yoga trainings gave me the lens to see the world differently and made me ask what is it I can offer to the world?
