We were lucky to catch up with Laura Arnold recently and have shared our conversation below.
Laura, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
My heart had been tugging at me to make a change for a really long time, but I wasn’t listening to it. Then I experienced the very unexpected loss of my father, and was left in a tailspin. After battling through survival mode and grief, I was struck with the realization that life is so sweet and wonderful, but also short! I wanted to make the most of it and to make an impact on other people. So the next question was, how do I do that? Health and wellness have been a mainstay and passion in my life for over a decade, and I discovered the answer that had been staring me in the face for years. My business combines my desire to make an impact on others with what I love and am passionate about. Every single day since the day I finally decided to go all in I have thought, “man, I wish I did this sooner!” But I am so grateful that I did it when I DID do it, and so eager to continue to grow and be a light to others!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I empower individuals to transform their lives holistically by coaching the whole person—addressing physical, mental, and emotional well-being for lasting health and wellness. The problems my clients often come to me with include a lack of knowledge around how to improve their health, inconsistency in their lifestyles, and struggles with over restriction and perfectionism. I teach them how to find balance and consistency in a way that is sustainable.
The health industry is littered with so much misinformation and lacks a clear message. I cut through the noise and provide my clients with applicable knowledge and the tools to succeed well after our time working together.
I have a big picture view of life and health, and I aim to be a light and make a real impact on others – not just their health, but their overall wellness. I strive to be the best at what I do and leave every client better from their time with me.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Talking about what I do all the time and with excitement has been the most effective growth strategy for me. It’s impossible to hide or fake passion and energy, so the more I share what I do with other people, the more they can see that excitement and it tends to get them excited! Whether that conversation turns into a new client, a referral, or a budding relationship — there has been so much growth for me in those little conversations!
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
A big goal of mine as I build my business is creating a community of like-minded people that have similar goals. While I am still very much in the early stages of growing that, one of the ways that I nurture it is simply through a Facebook group and an Instagram group. I use this space to share thought provoking ideas, share things from my social that some might have missed, share wins, share losses, etc. Consistently showing up in those spaces has helped to create a community where people feel safe to come and ask questions knowing that they will get real support and a true answer!
