We were lucky to catch up with Laura Alpizar recently and have shared our conversation below.
Laura, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So, let’s imagine that you were advising someone who wanted to start something similar to you and they asked you what you would do differently in the startup-process knowing what you know now. How would you respond?
If I were to start over now, I would have worked more on real and professional relationships. Learning from and knowing inspiring creatives in different industries has changed my life and business for the best ! It took me a few years to get over myself and reach out to people I admire and it was surprising to find out how approachable they could be!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I have learned how important mental health is and how to find a path for a slow paced life in a fast paced world that asks so much from mothers.
Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
I wish I knew the power of in person relationships way sooner in my career as well as in person retreats and workshops. If you are unable to have the the economic resources for these kind of education , try networking in groups as much as possible and find your community colleges and local associations that offer education like this. There are so many opportunities like this!
