We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Latricia Taylor. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Latricia below.
Latricia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Some people have goals they are trying to achieve with the allotted time we have here on earth. It may have been my thought process once upon a time. However, I discovered that God predestines everything that happens in my life, good, bad, or indifferent, which changed my perspective. Believe it or not, the story behind my mission is God’s will being done and my mission being complete and leaving here empty to hear God say well done, my good and faithful servant.

Latricia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My Brand and businesses are strictly God Created. As a pastor, I know my call is to help people. Unlike some pastors, my call is outside the edifice of the church building. God uses me through Media. I was homeless when I started praying and teaching from the telephone conference line in 2013; I never told anyone this story; however, I was on Tyler Perry’s email list and followed him on Facebook. On many occasions, when I was confused or getting discouraged, God would speak through Him. I remember he said, “focus on one thing at a time, and the other things will be birth from there” So I did. I focus on prayer and teaching the word every morning at 6:00 am est. My first book was birthed from there, “Waiting on my Ruth Experience The Woman.” I continue to live by the principle focus on one thing at a time. It makes sense because the word says God is not the author of confusion. I have gone from the conference line to a Media Company, Masters Media God First Production, a Self-publisher Company, Talent Manager, and recently Masters Media TV Network Fire TV, Roku TV, and Youtube TV. These platforms allow people, content creators, and independent filmmakers to own and showcase their content and engage with their audience.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
As I stated earlier, I was homeless. I believe you never know your strength until you go through something. If someone had asked me if I could survive homelessness, I probably couldn’t truthfully answer that and had not experienced it. Not only did I survive it made me a better person and appreciative of the small things. Homelessness allowed me to see God’s provision and protection in a way that I wouldn’t have seen Him. It challenged my faith as well as strengthened it. I believe the word when it comes to resilience 1 Corinthians 10:13. “And God is faithful; He will not suffer you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” So if He allowed it, He has given you the resilience to get through it, so I had to trust the process. If I had given up, I would have forfeited my blessings.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn everything. Most of my struggles came from unlearning past behaviors, which became strongholds that would prevent me from reaching my purpose. For example, I was a disobedient, insubordinate, rebellious child, which got me in a lot of trouble. As an adult, I knew I would sabotage myself if I kept with that behavior. So I make a conscious effort to learn to be obedient to God. Putting Him first has produced a blessed life.
