Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to LaToya NaShae. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
LaToya, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Mission: Empowering individuals and teams to thrive in purpose with clarity, confidence, & conviction.
My mission began taking shape way back in the fall 0f 2018. During that time, I was working in a corporate setting, stretched thin in ministry, and unsure if my next step (coaching school) was the catalyst needed to catapult my life into the next phase of destiny.
What was certain was that I was frustrated and unfulfilled, and very much feeling like God mishandled my trust. What I later realized was that I was drowning in burnout because neither my core values nor my life’s purpose were fully being served.
I’m no anomaly. It’s easy to get so caught up in maintaining the stability of day-to-day life that we forget what drives us… what fulfills us… our reason for being! Sincerely, LaToya NaShae LLC exists to help individuals and teams genuinely show up as who they are meant to be.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
During late 2016/early 2017, my mentor was studying to become a coach and needed to practice her skills. I volunteered, and the result was being asked a question that took me more than a year to answer. Describing the future I envisioned for myself was a breeze. However, when asked what an average day would look like for me once the future was my reality, I froze. I had no words because I lacked clarity about what day-to-day habits and activities were needed to achieve and sustain the life I imagined.
Today, I equip clients to develop fulfilling lives via strategic strategies rooted in clarity, confidence, and personal conviction.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Entrepreneurship is NOT for the faint at heart! It’s a combination of trial and error, failing forward, and permitting yourself to pivot. After graduating from coaching school in 2019, I planned to build my business on bundled 1:1 services. Time taught me otherwise. I didn’t have enough emotional bandwidth or hours in the day to serve my clients well and achieve my financial goals without springboarding myself back into burnout.
I paused my business for a year and spent time rebranding and rebuilding with a business coach. The best advice received during our time together might sound counterproductive to many. It’s all made up anyway. Deadlines, offers, content – whatever I create, I also have the authority to change. There is so much freedom packed into her wisdom! I am slow-walking my rollouts and enjoying the journey.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
There is so much I could reference! Honestly, doing the personal inner work positioned me for clarity and creativity in business. The podcast In The Light with Dr. Anita Phillips and The Love Seat group counseling program with Love McPherson provided the aha and ouch moments needed for me to identify and heal some soul wounds, acknowledge what was most important to me, recalibrate my boundaries, and regain momentum.
