We were lucky to catch up with Latoya Foster recently and have shared our conversation below.
Latoya, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about the best boss, mentor, or leader you’ve ever worked with.
My most incredible boss was the late Dr. Dennis Birenbaum. He was the owner of Texas Hematology and Oncology. He was a oncologist and special blood disorder Dr. He would always tell me not to be one dimensional, keep learning and soaking knowledge up. Work hard perfect your craft, remain humble, and keep your spirit and you will go far!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m the owner of Blessed Hands Phlebotomy. A medical trade school and college. We opened in August 2020. When I started this journey i wanted to capture high school students. That didn’t make the Sat act scores, that doesn’t have good grade point averages, my parents can’t afford college or maybe college isn’t for me at the moment. Making them aware by taking a trade you can find work in a shorter amount of time, make great money and still make a difference while deciding if they now want to go to college and get a degree. You will always have a trade to fall back on and it builds Character.
Let’s talk M&A – we’d love to hear your about your experience with buying businesses.
