Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to LaTonya Carmouche. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

LaTonya , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?

As a semi-retired celebrity publicist and a current Success Empowerment Life Coach, the legacy I am building is being a servant-leader. One of my gifts is the ability to genuinely want to assist and see people achieve their goals and win. After I a gone, I am certain that family, friends, clients, and associates will speak highly of my character, integrity, consistency, confidence, and compassion. My mission is to make a positive impact on the lives of everyone I am blessed to work with. I want to not only leave each individual with something accomplished but with something in them as well that they can carry and use to execute future goals. I want to be remembered as someone who made the success of others a priority and treated each person with honesty and respect.

LaTonya , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I worked as a celebrity publicist for several years with numerous award winning clients which allowed me to exercise my gift of wanting to assist and create opportunities for others to realize their purpose and dreams. In 2017 I semi-retired, which means I stop taking on new clients and only focused on the remaining clients that I still have today. The fact that they still allow me to represent then speaks volumes to me and I am grateful. I enjoyed working the Hollywood scene but there was a tug in me to also reach out and assist people who are not in the limelight. I have always been fascinated with self help and personal improvement so I decided to take that more seriously. I successfully completed many hours of life coaching courses, attended seminars, added knowledge from graduate courses mixed in with my passion to serve others and created LaTonya Carmouchè Enterprises (LTCE.info). This is my business that allows me to work with women who seriously want to experience a totally different level of success in any area of their life. I specialize in working with women of God, who may know the Word (Bible/God’s promises) but do not know how to apply to their own lives. Many times, these women can quote a ton of scriptures but continue to live vicariously through others and beneath the level of success that God has intended for them.
What sets me apart is the fact that I and my team know how to provide the environment for our clients to not only know the Word of God but also know how to apply it to their daily lives, in any area that they may want to improve.
To me, being a publicist and a success empowerment life coach goes hand in hand, because in both roles, my goal is to see others experience the best that God has for them. Even with my clients in Hollywood, they all have a strong relationship with God and have never put themselves or me in a position of compromise. Everyone just want to achieve more and be the best version of themselves. It does not get better than being the version God created you to be. It takes commitment and work because we have to recondition our mindset to not exist under the version that our upbringing and the world in general has trained us to live and function in.
My team and I help individuals come up with systems and strategies that will get you to the level of success you desire and deserve all while never having to jeopardize your name or legacy. My company is proof that the good guys do win.
I am most proud of the tremendous success my clients have and are currently experiencing. I am witnessing clients touring the world performing, creating new wholesome family friendly sitcoms, some have left their corporate jobs and started their own business. I have clients who are finally experiencing day to day life in the way that God intended for them, they are no longer living under the false expectations that were spoken over them. I am extremely proud of the freedom I see my clients have when they learn how and where to operate in their God given purpose.
What makes me different in the PR industry and in my success empowerment coaching, is my no nonsense work ethic, my ability to be patient and professional with everyone, my genuine interest in people, my honesty, my dedication, and my loyalty to clients.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

The initial capital I needed was earned by working in corporate America. I have a Master’s degree in HealthCare and I worked in the health care industry to not only fund my livelihood but also fund my hopes to run my own businesses. Even though I had a steady check coming in, it still took a ton of self discipline and sacrifices. If you are how I was, you are a “right now” sort of person. If you work now you should enjoy now. While I am an advocate for quality time with the family and occasional vacations/breaks, if working in corporate America is not your end-all-be-all dream, you have to save portion of your check and you have to allocate a portion to funding your dreams. This may mean you have to have a “staycation” at home rather than a vacation on an island. You may have to stay up later hours to work the 9-5 and build your business.
I cancelled what I call luxuries, ie; cable, monthly spa days, eating out, buying coffee, shopping for new outfits, I went on a major cut back so that I could afford paying someone to build my website, create campaigns for me, even pay my way to some speaking engagements, and other necessities for building a successful business. There is always a method to the madness, sacrifice = success.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

The best source of new clients for me has been good ole word of mouth and the support of great people who recognized what I have to offer is phenomenal so they began sharing my contact info. My main platforms are YouTube (Latonya Carmouche) and social media. I have clients that I have never met in person but they know of me because someone told someone who told them about my signature, “Rewrite The Script Of Your Life” course and they decided to visit my website ltce.info Once they take a course and see the success that they have now the key to unlock and tap into they go and tell someone else.

I even have had people who said what I offer is not for them BUT they know someone who could benefit and they send them my way.

Word of mouth is an excellent source as long as there are many mouths spreading the word. You can’t just tell one person and expect a wild fire. You have to be consistent with telling everyone and anyone that will listen about what you have to offer.
