We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lativia Pringle. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lativia below.
Lativia, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
Besides creating content of course I am also a fan of the niche. I prefer to watch YouTube videos over shows on Netflix or Hulu. I pay attentions to the different styles of editing by my favorite content creators, and gain inspiration from them all. I like to play around with the editing apps I use and I just try to create work that is pleasing to the eye, entertaining, and authentically represents myself. I have learned that there are classes available online for individuals who want to sharpen their skills such as Skill Share. I may try it in the future.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I create content for my own personal channel on YouTube. I have been consistent since June 2021, and finally became a partner in late 2022! It took years for me to actually get the courage to start my channel, and it also took years for me to get my content right (to my liking) and feel confident enough to not delete every video after publishing. Now that I am more confident in myself and my brand, I have worked with a few companies that I truly love and I am continuing to build relationships with them. I love being able to entertain my viewers with my lifestyle content, give tips and tricks in the beauty realm, as well as helping luxury shoppers in their research of a new item they wish to purchase. My work is now slowly but surely merging with Instagram as well. I am most proud of my consistency and discipline when it comes to creating my content.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn this feeling of unworthiness I was experiencing, and learn that I am as deserving as anyone else. I would think things like “Why would anyone care about my channel” or “Who do I think I am?”. I believe there is a sprinkle of Imposter Syndrome in there, as well as hearing similar things being said to me through out my life. It took a lot of inner work and self love to recognize my value. I also felt like the YouTube space was over crowded and that there was so much competition. Once I stopped thinking of it that way and just had fun with it, that’s when I realized there was indeed room for me, and anyone else.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to maintain a stable yet successful YouTube channel. I can already see that I am building my own little community, and I adore it so much. It makes me so happy to see returning subscribers. I love chatting with them in the comment section and even over on Instagram. The more stable my channel becomes the more I can pour into my creating process and provide the best quality that I can for my subbies.
