Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Latisha aka B.A.DGoddess Rhodes. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Latisha aka B.A.DGoddess , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

I take risk everyday. We all risk not knowing what’s to come our way. But my key thing is faith. When I say the past few years felt like the hardest. I lost my job and didn’t know if I could continue to be creative, and trust in my craft to come alive. I risk sometimes not knowing if I would have enough funds to eat due to investing and believing. Not only that risking I felt like giving up was a bigger risk.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Since I was a little girl. I dreamed of being the next female 2pac. I grew up partially in South Central, L.A. & Inglewood CA. Life wasn’t always glam and gold. Of course the streets had its issues when you walked out that door you see it everyday. But I use music and dance to escape. I would rap in the mirror making up things. My mom would even catch the bus to get me to the next town Hollywood to do acting classes. I was at less 6 years old. Using her last to believe in my craft. The motivation is what kept me. And now that I’m older. I get messages from supporters telling me how I either change their perspective on life or motivate them. My song “Winning Season” was a song to let the world know just cause stress and pain has its course cant let up , never give in “Apply that Pressure ” My grind is personal cause I come from nothing and pain. But all I see is growth and endurance (Love).

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I had to learn to let go the past. It’s easier said then done. And I know we all struggle with it. But the past can break you or make you. I say this cause I come from a past where survival was key. “JUNGLE ” EITHER YOU EAT OR GET ATE. THE WORLD still in away like this. But I’m speaking on pain that comes from, parent abundantment with my father choosing drugs. Not only that being put in positions to not know what love truly is. Abusive relationships that could of left me for dead and much more. But once I learned to forgive myself for allowing my self to love me. Doors open and vision came more clear. Life had it turns but knowing and keeping a positive mindfulness. Letting go blame, and all the other things. Your focus is growth and being better.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My mission and goal is to reach and touch the whole world. I want to motivate and teach to never give up. And even in a world of chaos we all our light in darkness. We most smile even when a storm comes our way cause life Is full of test. My other goal and mission is to show my children to believe in there dream and to never give up. Not only that to build wealth to take care my entire family . And just be and inspiration to others. Make a huge impact on generations to come.
