Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Latika Vines. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Latika , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
There was a time in my life when everything seemed to be going according to plan. I had a career, a growing family, and what looked like success on the outside. But after giving birth to my fourth child, I was hit with something I didn’t expect—postpartum depression. It crept in quietly at first: the exhaustion that never lifted, the moments of joy that felt hollow, the constant mental fog that clouded my purpose. I didn’t feel like myself anymore. I felt stuck, lost, and ashamed for not being the strong, put-together working mom I thought I was supposed to be (and the one I portrayed so eloquently).
But in that valley—at my lowest point—I truly met God. I cried out for clarity, for peace, for purpose. And in that sacred space, God reminded me that I wasn’t created just to survive—I was created to thrive. Slowly, He began to heal my heart, renew my mind, and show me that my pain had a purpose.
As I emerged from that season, I knew I couldn’t keep this transformation to myself. I realized that if I, a professional woman with goals and ambition, could feel so empty and unfulfilled, then there were so many other working moms silently struggling too. That’s when I made it my mission to empower working moms just like me—those battling postpartum depression, navigating career uncertainty, or feeling spiritually disconnected—to help them align their career vision with God.
Since that moment, I’ve built Visionary Initiatives, LLC, launched the Empowering the Working Mom Podcast, and created events, prayer groups, consulting services, and training sessions that have now supported over 500 working mothers. Every resource, every conversation, every event is anchored in one belief: that working moms don’t have to choose between purpose and peace, ambition and alignment.
You can be fulfilled.
You can thrive in your calling.
And with God, you can have a work-life balance that brings you joy—not just more to juggle.
This isn’t just my story—it’s the movement I’ve been called to lead. And if you’re a working mom reading this, I want you to know: you’re not alone, and you were never meant to carry this alone. Your vision matters. And together, we can align it with God’s purpose for your life.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Thank you for the opportunity to share more about myself and my work. I’m Latika Vines, the CEO and Founder of Visionary Initiatives, LLC, a career and workforce development organization that helps working moms turn their career visions into reality—all while aligning it with God’s plan for their lives.
My journey into this work began from a deeply personal place. Several years ago, after having my fourth child, I was diagnosed with postpartum depression. I found myself feeling stuck, unfulfilled, and disconnected from the purpose I once had. I was overwhelmed trying to manage motherhood, career expectations, and the silent pressure to “have it all together.” But through that experience—and through leaning into my faith—I discovered a renewed sense of calling: to empower other working moms who felt like I once did.
I took my 17 years of experience in training facilitation and employee engagement, combined it with my passion for personal and spiritual development, and created Visionary Initiatives in 2018. Since then, we’ve served over 500 working moms through annual events, prayer groups, training sessions, and coaching—all with the mission of helping women align their careers with their faith so they can live and work with purpose, peace, and fulfillment.
At Visionary Initiatives, we offer a variety of services including:
-Career development training and coaching
-Faith-based leadership development
-Work-life balance workshops
-The Empowering the Working Mom Podcast
-Signature annual events like the Empowering the Working Mom Prayer Breakfast and Virtual Summits
What sets us apart is our holistic, faith-driven approach. We don’t just talk resumes and job interviews—we go deeper, helping women reconnect with their spiritual identity, redefine success through God’s lens, and build careers that honor both their ambition and their wellbeing. We address the whole woman—mind, body, and spirit—so she can thrive at work and at home.
I’m most proud of the community we’ve built. Hearing stories from women who have gone from burnout to balance, from uncertainty to clarity, is what fuels me every day. I want potential clients and followers to know this: You are not alone, and you were never meant to walk this journey without support. Whether you’re navigating a career transition, trying to find purpose after motherhood, or simply craving rest in the chaos—I’m here to walk with you.
At the heart of everything I do is a commitment to faith, empowerment, and alignment. My work is not just about professional success—it’s about helping women live out their God-given vision with confidence and peace.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been building genuine relationships and staying rooted in my purpose. From day one, my focus has been on serving, not selling. I show up consistently through my podcast, events, social media, and email newsletters to provide value, encouragement, and practical tools for working moms. By doing so, I’ve built trust—and trust is the foundation of every meaningful client relationship.
Word-of-mouth referrals, especially from women who’ve attended our events or been impacted by our prayer groups and coaching, have been incredibly powerful. Many of my clients come from personal recommendations, and I believe that’s because people don’t just experience a service—they experience transformation, and they want to share that with others.
Another key strategy has been sharing my story transparently—especially my journey through postpartum depression and how I found healing. That level of vulnerability resonates with women who are going through their own silent battles. When people see that I’ve been where they are, they feel seen, understood, and supported. That connection makes all the difference.
Lastly, staying aligned with God’s timing and direction has been essential. I don’t chase trends—I pray for clarity, listen to my audience’s needs, and take intentional action. That divine alignment has not only grown my clientele but has attracted the right clients—those I’m truly called to serve.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
My advice for managing a team and maintaining high morale is to lead with empathy, clarity, and purpose. As a leader, your energy sets the tone—so it’s important to stay grounded, communicate openly, and genuinely care about the people you lead.
First, know your team as people, not just employees. Take time to understand their strengths, challenges, and what motivates them—professionally and personally. When people feel seen and valued, they show up with greater commitment and engagement.
Second, create a culture of trust and transparency. Be clear about expectations, but also open to feedback and new ideas. Empower your team by giving them ownership and celebrating their contributions, no matter how big or small. Recognition goes a long way in keeping morale high.
Third, don’t underestimate the power of rest and balance. As someone who champions work-life alignment, I encourage breaks, flexibility, and mental wellness—because burned out teams can’t thrive. Modeling that balance as a leader also gives your team permission to care for themselves too.
Lastly, stay aligned with purpose. When your team understands the “why” behind the work, they’re more likely to feel connected to it. Whether I’m leading a small group or managing a larger initiative, I always make sure our mission is clear and that everyone sees how their role contributes to the bigger picture.
At the end of the day, high morale is sustained not by perks—but by purpose, people-first leadership, and consistent encouragement.
