Alright, Latika thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. The first dollar you earn is always exciting – it’s like the start of a new chapter and so we’d love to hear about the first time you sold or generated revenue from your creative work?
I finally published my first book on November 14th, 2024. My sister Erica and her husband Julian bought the very first copy. I felt like I was finally on the right track.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Several years ago me and a good friend were just telling life stories on Snapchat. When I say it snowballed I mean just that. I continued to share stories about my past on social media, and then transitioned to Apple podcast. I finally decided to get my stories down on paper and I wrote and published Confession Monday.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Being able to freely express myself! The purpose of Confession Monday was always providing a way for my voice to be heard. I also feel like I give others am opportunity to realize they are not alone.
Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
I wish I had known about publishing thru Amazon when I first started Confession Monday. I would have written the book 3 years ago honestly but better late than never
