We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Latia Parker. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Latia below.
Latia , appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
My dad was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in June of 2020 and transitioned on November 22, 2020. During this time I had the privilege in becoming one of his caregivers. My dad was a diligent worker, and had the desire to help many people.
During this journey as a caregiver, it became apparent to me how difficult it can be to go through the process (Pancreatic Cancer). I saw firsthand, the pain my dad went through physically and mentally. Due to cancer, he was no longer able to work and enjoy the energetic life he once had. Although a strong man of faith, this took a toll on his confidence and outlook on life. As I took care of him for the five months, I understood the burden this disease can have on one’s mind, body, spirit and family. At times he would ask me to massage his back because he was experiencing so much pain. I would also moisturize his skin at times, because it was dry and flaky due to chemo. I began to understand the importance of Wellness and Therapeutic Services.
As my dad helped many, I wanted to do the same and keep his legacy going. Through this tough experience, I was compelled to find ways to help. As a result the Oncology Spa by CPC was birthed.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Managing a team can be challenging at times. However, I would suggest, those that are managing a team to always be transparent and clear on the goals for the company. I would also suggest that you show interest in their goals and help them get their. Its important that you show you are a team player and will step in when needed.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Our clients are very important to us. We make sure that we reward our loyal clients with discounts and thank you letters via email. We also provide them priority booking when scheduling their next session. We appreciate every client that supports the Oncology Spa by CPC. Without them we wouldn’t be in business.
