We were lucky to catch up with LaTerrell Bradford recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, LaTerrell thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission is to help or guide if you will individuals on their road to wholeness. We have been socialized to give our power away which also depletes us of our authenticity. We must reclaim our humanness and our authenticity to become whole.
I discovered that as I accomplished goals and became who the world had told me I was supposed to be, I became more and more miserable. I didn’t understand why I wasn’t happy, because I was doing everything that the world had instructed me to do to have this great life; and on the outside my life did look great. But in my heart, I was very, very sad. I played that game for a while until I couldn’t bare the sadness any longer and I decided to get Happy. It was just that simple, I decided that I deserved Happiness, and I began searching for what I needed to be happy, It was a very interesting, painful, kind, intriguing journey.
On my journey I discovered there are so many others having the same experience that I had. As I healed and was made aware that there are many people just like me living in quiet desperation my calling became Transitioning Into Wholeness. How do we become whole? How do we live and speak our Truth without harming others? How do we take up space and be authentic?
HOW? Those are some of the questions we must be willing to ask ourselves, our neighbors, our friends and our family members. This is how we create safe and healthy communities and how we become safe and healthy ourselves.

LaTerrell, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I love and enjoy watching people heal and transition into their best selves. As a yoga instructor I am a guide on the journey to connecting and becoming intimate with ourselves. To go deep inside of ourselves because our first love affair is with ourselves.
That’s the big secret of life-we are taught and socialized to search for our soul mate or the love of our life outside of ourselves. The Aha moment is when we realize we are the love of life. Does this mean we cannot have deep connection and love with others, No of course not. it just means that when we love ourselves in a nontoxic way, we can also love others in a nontoxic way.
This has been a huge part of our life journey, Transitioning Into Wholeness. My journey to becoming whole is what led me to yoga, becoming a yoga instructor was not part of my life plan. Yet here I am, I’m a firm believer in following the thread, the thread that leads us to our purpose. If we have the courage to follow the thread, walk through the doors and answer the call we will find ourselves living and incredibly rewarding life.
I invite you try it, try learning to love yourself in a healthy fashion and then extend healthy love to others.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
There have many lessons that I’ve had to unlearn. The most prevalent was the societal norms that we are taught. I had to unlearn that my happiness and joy would not stem from following a blueprint that was created by people who didn’t know me or possibly didn’t like me.
I had to go within and ask myself what makes me happy and of course that question came after following the blueprint that was created and being horribly disappointed and miserable.
Unlearning those lessons took me on an adventure that strengthened me and taught me that I can create my very own blueprint for my life. I can choose the life that I really want as opposed to a life that looks good but doesn’t feel good,

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
As I continue on this journey, pivoting, staying motivated and keeping hope alive I educate myself and collaborate with others as often as possible. I never turn down an opportunity to learn more about the human condition and the human experience. I look for opportunities to learn from others that have a different life experience than I do.
On one occasion as I was ascending (at the time I didn’t realize this is what was happening) I was searching for anything to help me to make sense of what I was experiencing. A book: Anatomy of a Calling by Lissa Rankin provided me with the information and understanding that I desperately needed to ground me and elevate me at the same time.
Anatomy of A Spirit by Carolyn Myss is another book that provided me with guidance.
Race the Power of An Illusion is a documentary that provided clarity, and clarity always offers an opening for us to evolve.
And last but not least A New Earth, The Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose. By Eckhart Tolle is a powerful book that I’d recommend.
