Hi Lateria , thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Lateria Teresa Brown, and I am the proud founder of Lorrenique’s Beauty. Growing up on a small island called Eleuthera located in The Bahamas, we were not the most fortunate and things did not come easy. I came from a single parent home, where it was me, my mom and my siblings. I watched my mom sacrifice and do her best to provide for us. We couldn’t afford luxuries like trips to the salon. We learned to do the jobs ourselves and made the most of what we were blessed with. She made me appreciate what I had, believed that I could achieve anything, and encouraged me to expand my dreams and expectations for myself.

As a businesswoman and entrepreneur, I recognize that a business is a legal person. As a mother and a daughter who was nurtured by her mother, my business is my baby. Lorrenique’s Beauty, named after my mom, Lorri Butler, is my baby. It is a business that I nurtured and watched grow and will continue to for years to come.

Lorrenique’s Beauty specializes in a few services, such as wig making, wig maintenance, washing and styling. In addition, we sell wig installation kits, accessories and of course lashes. We focus a lot of attention to detail and quality of our products. We hear our customers, and do our best to accommodate their needs. Should you ever shop at Lorrenique’s, you will only be satisfied. We make sure of it!

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

Always be professional, pleasant, approachable. Coming from the tourist industry, I’ve learn that guest tends to leave amazing reviews about you when you are simple professional and friendly.
Customer service is very important; when having a business, you can win a new client or get recommend by another client to your business when that client feels respected and care for and all because you kept it professional, your were pleasant and approachable.

Any advice for managing a team?

Always be humble Remember your workers are important assets to the company.
Stick to the company policy
Be polite and respectful to others
Sets standards.
Always help when need be it shows team work
