Hi Latasha, thanks for joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

I think it’s takes consistency and determination. With both you can accomplish goals and gain success in your business. Both consistency and staying determined helped me turn my blog side hustle into a profitable business.

Latasha, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

In 2016, I started my blog, Arts and Budgets, to help individuals find the best and most profitable side hustles to create multiple income streams. In 2017 I turned Arts and Budgets into an actual business by incorporating it into an LLC in the summer of July 2017.

Since starting Arts and Budgets, I have been able to turn it into a business that now earns $10k a month. With the help of my business, I have been able to create 10 income streams, pay off over $30,000 of debt am able to work from anywhere.

Today, Arts and Budgets get over 100,000 monthly pageviews, has over 50,000 followers on social media, and is on track to hit six figures in revenue for the first time this year.

I created two passive income streams: my “Side Hustle To Freedom” e-book and my signature course, Blog For Profit Academy, for new bloggers. I also offer one-on-one blog coaching and one-on-one side hustle coaching to help my clients on a deeper level.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

One of my main goals this year was to grow my Instagram following to at least 50k, and I am happy to report that I surpassed my first goal and hit 100k followers this month.

To help me reach this goal, I set daily goals, such as post on at least 2 social media platforms and showing up for my audience doing IG lives, reels, and answering their questions in the comment sections of my posts.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

One of my best ways to grow new clients for my business has been to stay consistent on my social media platforms by giving them helpful blogging and side hustle resources to go to the next level.

Another outlet that has helped me grow my clientele has been offering them a side hustle starter guide as a gift when they sign up for my email list.
