Latasha , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?

In 2021 Latasha Melody and D Kirk Kv started a record label named after her. They wanted artists to express themselves and show their unique talents to the world. Latasha decided to branch off into clothing to make the world know who D Kirk KV and Jahmeir are in a different aspect along with their music. D&J clothing represents two upcoming artists that want the world to know who they are through their music and clothing.

Latasha , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Teresa W. goes by her stage name Latasha Melody, an upcoming music producer located in Philadelphia, PA. She loves hearing several sounds that catch her attention and is ready to make a song or beat. Latasha Melody is full Jamaican; both of her parents are from Jamaica. Her mother is a big-time singer in the states. Her father was a soccer player back home in Jamaica. She comes from a very talented background of singers and athletes. She has three businesses she owns. They are Latasha Melody – Record Label, D&J Clothing1, and Obsession. She recently released Obsession in March of 2022. With these three businesses, she had been very successful. With D&J Clothing one Latasha has been successful that she now has an international BA that’s straight out of Jamaica. He goes by the name Drip King. He represents the brand in his dancing routines on all social media platforms. The brand has expanded to several states and countries. Everyone enjoys the clothing and is excited to see the new release of items for each season and holiday. With both brands, she represents all shapes and sizes.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Latasha and her team started to advertise on all platforms about the upcoming brands to let everyone know when the release date will be. We then start to post flyers on all platforms to get our audience excited for our grand opening.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.

Me and D Kirk KV have known each other since high school. We have been good friends for a long time and wanted to pursue a career that would be successful.
