Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Latasha Martin . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Latasha , appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
To be successful you have to use your failures as stepping stones . Success surely comes with blood sweat and tears. I truly I think a successful person is the one that stood the test of time. The one who experienced the most failures but didn’t give up.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
As you know I’m a jeweler and I absolutely love what I do. Ive always loved fashion and jewelry itself can make any plain outfit pop. The beauty in selling jewelry is meeting new clients and putting a smile on their face. Jewelry has always been a symbol of love when gifted. I’ve been selling jewelry 7 years now ( online, barnyards, storefront, pop ups , etc.) No matter how long of a break I take I always surface back to my passion. Being a business owner is definitely not easier than a 9-5 but it’s extremely rewarding when operated correctly. I currently just relaunched my website this month with alot of new merch added to our collection. If you have time check it out. What truly sets my company apart from other is my personal custom designs & designer jewelry. I make creative jewelry & also pieces of healing & protection. My customers make things so easy for me and im am pleased to be accompany to their needs. I certainly turned my company into my career and I plan to grow, prosper and exceed beyond my own expectations. I hope you can be apart of my journey, I’m sure I have something on my market just for you.
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
I first started selling jewelry at the barnyard fleamarket in my city, next I took the initiative to start my website a year later. During this time I was still working my 9-5 to fund my business. I then started to attend pop ups and market events to get my business around the city, soon after that I got more advanced with social media which helped me network globally. As things start to spiral with my company I than begin to invest more into SteelosJewelryExhibit. You have to buy products, inventory, tags/bags, paid promotions & marketing etc. The #1 key to building a brand or company is investing in yourself.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
