Okay – so how did you figure out the manufacturing part? Did you have prior experience?
I 100 percent manufacture and distribute my own products. My professional and creative experience and background over the last 25 years has afforded me knowledge. I have utilized my retail/beauty experience to guide, align me product manufacturing process. Such as, product packaging and guidelines. I design the graphics for my packaging and social-media marketing. I researched printing vendors on alibaba, etsy, etc… for wholesale packaging and printing.
My esthetic/art experience has contributed greatly to the formulation process of my products. As a certified esthetician, and previous skin-care representative for years, I utilized my knowledge in skin-care ingredients and merged with my art degree from Kennesaw State University and created a handmade vegan formula… which I now refer to as “wearable art”.
The biggest lesson I have learned is how essential it is to have an organized process! lol
There are several moving parts in the manufacturing process.
I’ve been blessed to receive education in my professional over a course of my professional career. I am now utilizing all of the skills I’ve acquired for my present business.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I’ve had to unlearn the expectation of “over-night” success theory, There is No overnight. Though, you possess a great depth of information, it doesn’t guarantee speedy sales. Marketing, is the most important element to your business, and if you have a weak marketing plan, your product will not move. No matter how great it is.
