Hi Latasha, thanks for joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

The idea for my business came to me during one of the most difficult seasons of my life. I had just experienced deep personal loss, and it forced me to take a pause and really look at my life, my healing, and what I truly needed. I was going through a spiritual awakening, but it wasn’t pretty or peaceful; it was raw, emotional, and real. During that time, I started doing inner child work and using spiritual tools like journaling and meditation. I didn’t know it then, but I was laying the foundation for something bigger than me.

At first, I was just sharing what I was learning and healing with friends and people close to me. I wasn’t trying to start a business, I was just trying to survive and stay true to what was being revealed. But the more I shared, the more I realized that other people were searching too. They needed safe spaces to heal. They wanted to feel seen, heard, and empowered.

That’s when it clicked. I wasn’t the only one walking through pain and transformation. There were so many others out there who needed guidance, spiritual tools, and someone to remind them that healing is possible. I started offering intuitive readings and coaching, and from there, created A Spiritual Key Essential as a way to help others unlock their own healing.

What got me most excited was knowing I could take what I went through and turn it into something meaningful. I wasn’t just solving a problem, I was showing people that their healing journey didn’t have to look like anyone else’s, and that there’s power in honoring where you are while stepping into who you’re becoming.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I’m Latasha Burger, a Spiritual and Intuitive Coach, energy healer, and the founder of A Spiritual Key Essential. My business was born from my own journey through grief, healing, and spiritual awakening. What started as a personal transformation quickly turned into a calling to help others reconnect with themselves and heal on a soul level.

A Spiritual Key Essential offers intuitive readings, spiritual coaching, and healing products like custom journals, t-shirts, spiritual baths, and home cleansing kits. Everything I create is made with intention and love to support people who are ready to do the inner work and align with their purpose. Whether it’s through a one-on-one session, a collective reading, or one of my spiritual product, I’m here to help others tap into the wisdom they already carry inside.

What sets me apart is that I don’t follow a cookie-cutter path. I combine ancestral wisdom, intuitive guidance, and real-life experience to meet people where they are. My clients often come to me feeling disconnected, stuck, or unsure and they leave feeling seen, empowered, and spiritually grounded.

I’m most proud of the way this work continues to grow and evolve as I do. I’ve hosted workshops, created products that reflect my lineage and purpose. Recently, I’ve been connecting with my community more in person by attending local and spiritual and holistic events. Being able to meet people face-to-face, share my work, and build relationships has added a beautiful layer to the journey.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I posted my first YouTube video on December 1, 2021. I didn’t have a big strategy behind it, I was just following what Spirit told me to do. I wanted to create a space for people on their healing journey to feel seen, heard, and supported, especially those who were just starting to explore spirituality.

Things really started to shift in the summer of 2022. I had one video go viral in July, and another in August. That brought in a lot of new subscribers and reminded me that when your message is aligned with your purpose, people feel it. Since then, word of mouth has been my biggest blessing. My audience continues to grow, but it’s the loyal subscribers and returning viewers that really keep the energy flowing.

I don’t post constantly, and I allow myself to pause when needed. But when I do show up, it’s always with real intention. I think people connect with that. They know I’m not just creating content, I’m showing up in my purpose. That’s what helps build real trust and a strong community.

My biggest advice is to just start and be yourself. I still use my iPhone to record my videos, so it’s never been about having the best setup. The only thing that’s changed is the environment I record in. What matters most is your energy and intention. Speak from the heart and the right people will find you.

Don’t get caught up in trying to be perfect or go viral. Focus on being consistent with your message and protecting your peace. Take breaks if you need to, trust your timing, and let your authenticity lead the way. That’s what builds real connection and that’s what lasts.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

Being real. That’s what works best for me. I don’t force anything or try to follow what everyone else is doing. I share from my heart, whether it’s on social media, through my readings, or at events. People can feel when something is genuine, and I think that’s what draws them in.

I also trust my energy. If I don’t feel aligned to post or promote something, I don’t. But when I do feel led, it always hits the right people. Word of mouth has been huge too. A lot of my clients come back or send others my way, which lets me know the connection is real. I’ve found that showing up in a way that’s honest and spirit-led has helped me grow in a way that feels sustainable and aligned.
