We recently connected with Latasha Burger and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Latasha, thanks for joining us today. The first dollar your business earns is always special and we’d love to hear how your brand made its first dollar of revenue.

I got my 1st client almost a month after I started my business. I started off doing readings on my YouTube channel. Because I was a newer reader, my subscribers were mainly family and friends, so I was elated when I received her email. After completing her reading, she confirmed that everything I mentioned was accurate. She even provided screenshots to confirm specific messages I picked up on. It was a rewarding experience for me, as well as confirmation that I was on the right track.

Since her 1st reading, she has booked with me several times. She has also recommended my business to Voyage Phoenix magazine to be featured. In addition to that, she recently confirmed that she is a client for life, which made me happy. I’m grateful to be aligned with her.

Latasha, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I’ve always had the gift of being clairempathic, clairaudient, clairsentient, clairvoyant, and intuitive. I learned more about my abilities when I moved to Arizona at the beginning of 2021. I began my spiritual journey in 2018, but in 2021 I started the next phase of my awakening.

That year was a huge learning experience for me. I learned tarot readings were a part of my purpose. I started researching online and watching youtube videos. My friends even allowed me to practice on them as I have an innate ability to connect intuitively.

In November of 2021, I became unemployed, so I took that door closing as a sign that a better door would be opening. I attempted to find another job but was unsuccessful. That was the confirmation I needed to stay focused on my calling. I then started my channel on YouTube, A Spiritual Key Essential. I also filed for my LLC and recently created my website, spiritualkeyessential.com.

Part of my healing process is to share my experiences, so I recently wrote a book about my experience with narcissism called “What The Narcissist?.” Also, I created a series of self-love journals for all ages, including children which are available on Amazon. My goal is to teach people that they can heal from any trauma.

Most recently, I became an internationally certified Self-Love Coach and nationally certified Shamanic and Spiritual Coach. I’m thoroughly excited to connect with different walks of life and teach them the tools they need to start their healing process.

I am most proud that I conquered my fear of speaking publicly. I’m naturally a shy person but my calling and business require me to be in the public eye. Taking this leap of faith has definitely shown me I am stronger than I ever knew.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

As previously mentioned, I became unemployed in November of 2021. 2 months later, my father passed away, which required me to return to my hometown. The following month, my truck was repossessed from the bank as I could no longer afford the payment. On top of that, I was having a hard time getting any assistance from unemployment, in which I didn’t receive a check until July 2022.

It felt as if my life was falling apart all at once. However, instead of allowing myself to become depressed and give up, I decided to turn my pain into power. I used everything I went through as a motivation to heal and further invest in myself. I wrote my 1st book, created a line of journals, and became certified as a self-love, spiritual, and shamanic coach.

I can finally say I’m at a place of peace. I’m not where I want to be financially, but I’ve become stronger spiritually and emotionally. I persevered through my hardships and am ready to use my experience to help others do the same.

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?

On my website, I offer my readings and healing essentials. However, my line of journals and book is available on Amazon. For me, offering on both platforms is the best choice for my business as it allows me to reach a larger scale of customers, and it’s less money spent upfront.

The only con about using another platform instead of my own is the shared profits. Once I’m in a better financial position to get my journals and books published, I will use my website for all sales.
