We were lucky to catch up with LaTamara Mitchell recently and have shared our conversation below.

LaTamara, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

So this all started when my daughter was a newborn, over 5 years ago. I always had a thing for accessories but I noticed when it came to chokers, bracelets, and anklets I would have a hard time finding my size because the fit was always to big or off. I started making my on chokers, bracelets, and anklets. I started to get compliments, from compliments to orders, Then I gave my small business a name.(Ameiachrisaccessories),Meanwhile I also had a huge fetish for multicultural jewelry. I didn’t care what the cost was I just had to have all the exclusive indian Gold earrings. One day one of my good friends said why dont you sale the kind of jewelry you wear? I thought about it and i started. Now im on this exciting journey that Im so in love with. Its so me❤️.

LaTamara, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My brand is based on pure uniqueness. Its for women to feel vibrant and beautiful. I want women to steal the room as they approach any event. I receive so many compliments from both women and men. Each piece is uniquely picked. The quality is everything, and im not just saying this because its my brand it really is. I take alot of pride in my brand. Im still building it , I have a ways to go but im off to a very well start I believe ❤️

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I think what helped build my reputation was endless popup shops, and social media..

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

Im still learning alot when it comes to business in general. Im currently unlearning different things, as business owners we can see what works and what doesn’t works, For example when my Indian earrings come in I would post all five pair in the same day instead of just one pair at a time, Working with just one pair you give the audience a chance to look how detail that one particular pair of earrings are, verses all five at one time.
