We recently connected with Larry Smoot and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Larry, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

The idea for my business came one night during a late hour. For some time I’d been asking God for instructions for my next assignment on earth as I analyzed the current state of society at the time. The year was 2023 post-covid and much to the aftermath of the pandemic a few things became clear:

1. People were not as happy anymore. Basic courtesies such as quality customer service and “thank yous” became more obsolete. I recall entering a particular establishment where 3 workers stood behind the counter and locked eyes with me. No greeting. No enthusiasm in being present.

Finally someone comes to the front counter and remains quiet, waiting for me to speak the first words. A professional customer service clerk would have at least said, “Hi, how can I help you today?”

2. Human Misconduct
Sometimes global tragedies and disasters bring people closer together while other times it can be the very source of division, rebellion, and wayward behaviors.

I began closely inspecting how members of society as a collective were harshly treating one another and taking the human experience for granted. It was a difficult time even for me as I was a victim of systemic inequality on the job. Imagine this:

One male, one female, hired for the same position at the same time. Both with no experience. The female gets $6.00 more per hour with there being only one main difference between us. Let’s leave it open to interpretation as to why that may have happened.

There were a smorgasbord of indicators from modern civilization pointing to activities involving evil, malpractice, betrayal, and hate. I knew that changing the world was (and is) a feat way too extreme to carry out alone. But my main focus was (and still is) to the contribute to the greater good of the world. Now, that I could do! The question was how?

The answer came in the form of a revelation from God. It was as if a light bulb went off as a powerful concept hit me like a ton of bricks! Something said, “Larry, share your juices with your community.” And there it was!

I figured, since I can’t change the world, I can at least offer a product to people that has the capability to pacify some of their ailments from within. And just maybe once they begin to heal from within, which is where true love must come from first, then perhaps this will allow them to project love and positivity more efficiently. Thus, making the world a much better space with widespread recovery and optimization through natural elements derived from mother nature.

Originally born and raised in High Point, North Carolina, I, Larry Smoot Junior, provide all-natural organic health juices to everyday human beings like yourself, who wish to enrich their quality of well-being through juicing and striving towards the many possibilities that come from regular usage.

Larry’s Love In A Jar ❤️ was born in 2023. Within a week of conceiving a brand concept that could help lead to our first customer, we began by making outreach to people we knew firsthand, encouraging them to share the news along the way.

I am known as a social butterfly, so with every ounce of that skill set, I incorporated it into my approach to potential consumers. Before long I was being invited to events where I could showcase our incredible health juice products and share the benefits with community members.

Some of the benefits of our electrifying health juice blends, such as our trailblazing “Green Day Upside Down,” juice include: reducing inflammation, high blood pressure, helps fight against cancer cells, liver support, and more!

Fun fact- Our first major event happened on a farm as a collaboration. A meritorious experience that I will never forget! Not only were we a special feature, we would also become a first-time cohost!

What sets me apart from others? Honestly, I try not to lead with a narrative that can risk pitting persons or groups against one another by posing as “separate” from them when infact, most of us are in the same race. We all want to cross the finish line but where we come into conflict is when we attempt to skip the work required to get there together. Oftentimes that is what leads us to natural separation. When some are willing to do hard work while others aren’t. And yet, they still expect to yield benefits from efforts that were never activated.

What am I most proud of?

I am most proud that our business is evolving by the day. People used to say that we wouldn’t last. That our products were made for white people. I’ve had family members who have yet to issue a simple congratulations or display any type of celebratory gestures of happiness for our success. It brings assurance that God knows better than man on any given day. And to any up and coming entrepreneur reading this, never wait for anyone to congratulate you or pat you on the back. Celebrate your accomplishments! Be proud of YOU first.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

While some people are fortunate at this, a lesson that I had to unlearn is that sometimes support comes in ways that you least expect and from people who know you the least. And that is okay! Support will not always come from your family and friends. Most times it will otherwise be the strangers who help you elevate to the next level of your business.

In the two years that we have been in business, I’ve gotten no support from my parents or many of my family members. They see me, they watch me on my platforms, they say nothing, they do nothing. It is oftentimes the people who were once called friends who do this as well. And it is perfectly acceptable to release things and /or forces that no longer serve you. Your energy, peace, and well-being shall always remain of utmost priority!

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I think by providing visual representation of our products through supporter testimonials, strong quality graphics that are expressive, and remaining consistent in my true character and purpose is what has helped build a solid reputation within our market. Anyone who has experienced our all-natural organic health juice blends can attest that we speak from our soul when explaining the benefits of the products. They can feel that we actually care, understand their needs, and put them as humans first over profit.
